Here are some useful off-site links that can help you when making a report.

    1. Imgur - a reliable image hosting site.
    2. ShareX - a screen capture tool (among other things) with a wide variety of features.
    3. puush - a basic screen capture tool, less complicated than ShareX but less features.

Reporting a post or private message is a very simple process. Use the report function located just below the offenders post bit, then tell us what the problem is.

    Please ensure that:
    • What you're reporting is actually against the forum rules or the rules of the respective section.
    • That you adequately inform us what the problem is. A vague message about the problem could result in a sub-par response.
    • If the issue is a little bit more complex, that you create a General Report thread (see below).
    • If the incident occurred in the Shoutbox, that you submit a Shoutbox Report (see below).
    • If you're attempting to report a staff remember, that you submit a Staff Report.

If you are reporting one of the following incidents:
    • Releasing work without permission
    • Abuse of a Rune-Server system
    • Cases of harassment
    • Malicious content (non-obvious cases)

It is better to create a dialogue with us and submit a General Report instead.

Please remember submitting false evidence will result in action against your account.

To report an incident in the shoutbox, you will need to submit a Shoutbox Report.

    Report Requirements
    1. The only evidence we require for a shoutbox report is a full image of the incident that occurred.
      • The full context of the conversation needs to be shown within any images. No chopping the images up.
      • If you're reporting a website link that is against the rules, you must show us the end result of the hyperlink. Example
      • Text transcripts are not acceptable evidence.
      • Remember you can detach the shoutbox for a larger view.

If you feel that you can adequately provide the evidence above, copy the format below and submit a Shoutbox report.

    1) Username of the accused:

    2) Date of the offense:

    3) Please provide any relevant images to the offense:

    4) Any additional evidence (if applicable):

A General Report is helpful in situations where more evidence is required to create an adequate report, or in situations where you need to create a dialogue with a staff member over a report.

A General Report mostly covers the following topics:
    • Releasing work without permission
    • Abuse of a Rune-Server system
    • Cases of harassment
    • Malicious content (non-obvious cases)

    Report Requirements
In some cases we require more evidence than others, but generally we simply require images of the reported incident(s).
    • If the evidence is a conversation, the full context of the conversation needs to be shown within any images. No chopping the images up.
    • Text transcripts are not acceptable evidence.
    • In a case of work being released without permission, you must clearly demonstrate proof of this accusation to us.
    • If in a scenario where you have purchased work from someone and that person later releases the work for free, you must have had an agreement in place between the respective parties where it was agreed the work would not be publicly released. If this agreement can not be produced, then the original author still has ownership of the content and they can do as they please with it.
    • In a case of possible malicious content being found, you must be able to demonstrate to us how you reached the conclusion that something is malicious.

If you feel that you can adequately provide the evidence above, copy the format below and post a General Report.

    1) Username of the accused:

    2) Date of the offense:

    3) Please provide any relevant images to the offense:

    4) Any additional comments (if applicable):

    Report Requirements

Before we can fully assess a report we need some of the following pieces of information.

    1. Where the trade was initiated.
      • We will only deal with trades that have been initiated on Rune-Server.
      • If the trade consisted of Rune-Server members but was conducted off-site, we will not handle the report. We are only interested in misconduct that occurred on Rune-Server.

    2. Proof that you've actually been scammed. For example:
      • If you have provided a service to someone but have not received payment for said service, you need to show us that you fulfilled your side of the obligation and you have not received any payment (or vice versa).
      • If you have sold somebody some Runescape Gold, you need to show us that you traded the gold and that you did not receive payment for it (or vice versa).

    3. Full images of any relevant conversations.
      • The full context of the conversation needs to be shown within these images. No chopping the images up.
      • Video evidence is also acceptable.
      • If some of the trade was conducted over private message on Rune-Server, you can also report these private messages to use as evidence.
      • Please ensure this information is available to us chronologically.

    4. Additional contact information of the scammer and proof that the accused owns the contact information.
      • If any of the trade was conducted over a messaging service such as Skype, an image of the profile name is required. In Skype's case the profile name is not the same as the display name. You must also prove to us that the accused owns the address.
      • If the trade involves a payment service like Paypal, you must prove to us that the accused owns that payment address.

If you feel that you can adequately provide the evidence above, copy the format below and post a scam report.

    1) Username of the accused:

    2) Date of the offense:

    3) Please provide evidence that the trade was initiated here on Rune-Server:

    4) Please provide an explanation of the trade and what has happened:

    5) Please provide any relevant images to the trade/transaction:
