There needs to be a place where you can save threads as drafts to be edited/published later.
This is for people who are making big/organized threads and need to experiment with different layouts.
You can always just click 'preview'.
Well I wasn't specific on scenarios where a thread sandbox would be necessary.
I've used the copy and paste to notepad method several times and it just gets repetitive, especially when you want to edit the thread and have to copy it back to a new thread preview.
Basically, all there needs to be is a "save draft" option next to "go advanced," so instead of copying and pasting, we can just save it here maybe in a new sub category in settings and edit later.
Idk if this is unrealistic because of storage space or what. The benefits outweigh the cost because people can be more thorough when creating threads, deterring rule breaking.
If space is an issue, there could be a certain amount of time a draft is kept, till automatically deleted.
You may say this nullifies the use for "preview" or "go advanced" but this can be avoided. Instead of being stored in settings like private messages, during thread creation, this can be a simple drop-down menu of timestamps when you saved a draft. This way the "go advanced" feature is still utilized completely.
To clarify, the Thread Sandbox is similar to "go advanced" but with a timestamp. The idea is to allow people to design their threads efficiently without doing it all in one sitting.
A better name is thread timestamp though. I called it sandbox because this feature is for people who want to take their time making threads.
