Personally, I really like this idea. I'm just concerned about its execution; I'm assuming there have been tons and tons of people in the past banned who are now unbanned for one reason or another. The staff would have to go through each and every one of those people and manually implement a ban reason. Otherwise, it would be as though that individual has a clean slate and they could use that to their advantage.

if it was malicious content we would have obviously removed it after banning them, so this doesn't apply.

Like I said, at the moment there's literally no information at all available to other users to view, I think we should have a right to at least view basic information such as this.
you didn't give a reason why in this reply though, you just reiterated what you wanted doing

basically my question boils down to what does this help you do that you can't do already

One site I know shows ban reasons to all users like this when viewing their profile:

(also releases their IP and email, lol)

One issue with showing the ban reason that shows to the banned user is that some mods don't even put proper reasons, i.e. "Ban reason: Congrats" - defeats the purpose of ban reasons.
Another potential issue that I can think of is if a moderator bans a user for "Leaking x server" then viewing the ban reason could cause users to find the leak or ask around for the leak.

Members have a tendency to make accusations towards banned users, so this would help clear up any confusion as to why the user was banned.

Support, I've seen a lot of users lately that have contributed a lot to the community getting banned and it seems strange.

As a community we should know what the user done to be banned, because rn seeing that the user is banned completely ruins their rep, where it could only be a minor punishment.

I guess this is something that would be reliant on the mods, but that shouldn't be too much of an issue tbh. I see a lot of instances where they try to strive for an objective decision when it comes to punishments and they seem pretty competent (barring the sb bans lol)

The other issue is definitely a possibility, but Ithink it could be alleiviated by throwing it into a more generalized term. But to be completely honest this is just a symptom of how the rsps community is, if there was something worth grabbing that was leaked, most people that have the capability to really use the leaked items, would have most likely gotten them already from that rsps leak website.

Personally couldn't care less why anyone was banned. If they were banned they obviously deserved it regardless of the reason.

Not supporting this but doesn't really matter, none of our business why other member is banned

I can understand your point, but lets use Professor Oak as an example. He was banned for making a comment about ReturnOfWild, I spoke to him and he said the reason was 'Spam'.

To be put amongst serious scammers and other rule breakers for a more petty reason, without other members being able to check what the cause of the ban was for is one of the reasons why I decided to make this thread.
