Why don't you remove the "thanks" then aswell... Honestly people just do it both to have some fun and have a better time on the forums, it causes no drama other than for the moderators, but it's the moderators job to take responisbility and deal with those actions that occuring, if you get annoyed from doing one small thing, then don't you think you should resign from being a moderator? Honestly it just rep. People give rep all the time because they are bored, over 97% of the community doesn't base judgement off the rep when dealing with real life money, because thats just not needed, its vouches that do that. It is like the "thanks" button people going around clicking thanks on random people things because they can and are bored. Remember that one person you were involved with commiting the clicking of the thanks button as well? The guy who said he wanted to become admin on this forums in introduction. It like that, just a way some members get some fun around here, nothing wrong with it. If you can't do your job and handle the reports then resign. Not trying to sound like a douche or anything but thats basically what it comes down to.

If reputation is removed, the bitching is still going to stay the same. Some people might want it and will bitch about it. But lets think about it for a second; If reputation was removed, people would acknowledge each other through how ever many "thanks" they have. actually there are ways to abuse the thanks... if you go in chatbox and link someone to a thread and tell them to go click "thanks for the lols" they will do it, I would know ive gotten people to do it before in the past lol..
