6 hour punishment if you don't know the reason why.

How are we expected to know the reason we broke in the shout box if we might of not been online at the time when the punishment is done or if you get banned out of no where.. What are we expected to do? Lie on the appeal? I don't really understand why you get a automatic 6 hour punishment when you are banned from the shout box and you don't know the reason... It's not like we are told what we have done wrong, the team some times doesn't like you and ban you and don't even inform you.

What i am suggesting is either do these 2 option:

1) Either ever time a staff member punish you to make them post on your profile with the reason why you got punished.

Or

2) Remove this stupid ass rule.

it would be a good idea to do something like

/ban or silence username - reason why the user was banned or silenced

it may request some database and php editing, but it would fix this problem.

I wrote a system a bit back for my site; took no time and I've got almost no php experience. The only problem would be people with odd chars.

I don't know the reason behind this website allowing odd characters, it's nothing but trouble.
