Lets Fix Rune-Server?

Alright, well before I get started on my huge ranting, that will take part in this thread. I would like to say, sorry for my spelling and grammar mistakes. I'm typing this as I think of it, so expect mistakes.

The Boards
The first problem I'm going to address is the huge about of board we have on this forum. Most forums are inactive and unneeded. We need to shrink the forum down into more common boards instead of having boards for everything. Here is my suggestion on how the forum should be set up.

The boards need to be compacted into smaller board, because first there is not a lot of activity in a lot of board that they don't deserve their own category, and also it will make the forum look a lot better and bigger making people join the forums.

The Staff
Alrighty, well here is a huge topic that I would like to discuss. I have no idea how AJ or Number deals with staff. The looks of it is that they don't really have a system for it. We need to develop a system for choosing the staff position.

I'm will be sharing my idea. I believe that you should allow applications, but that shouldn't be the only judgement on how to pick the person for the position. You should ask the member to fill out an application, like this one I provided for an example.

You will pick though the people and choose what one you see fitting the jobs. After that process is done. You will conduct an interview via Skype or MSN. This will help you question the member and find out everything need.

If someone breaks a rule or gets hacked while mod, don't pick them again. STUPID MOVE! One strike your out rule.

OFFICIAL SERVER!!!!
Why don't we have one? Member join just because they think we have a server, then they get disappointed when there isn't one. If you need some developers for this. I will develop it.

We don't need a special base for the server or some amazing features like NPC voice chat LOL. We just need a server like everything other server out there. Skills, Pking, Minigames, and just a fun filled server. I will create the server if no one is up for it. We could let the community vote on the reversion of the server and go from there.

We have attempted this soo many times, but failed this time we should do it for realz.

Design
Okay, many of you probably don't think it's much of the topic to discussion, but I believe it will help Rune-Server grow. The theme of the forums is quite awful. We have amazing designers that really don't do much, well here is the chance for them to shine. Have the designers come up with some amazing themes for the website and let the community vote on the top 2 and showcase them as the new forums theme.

Another design change would be the horrible button art on the post text thingy lol. The button look horrible and should be changed to something more smooth and good lucking.

The smilies could use a change. They are old and boring. We could get some great looking ones and also throw in some lolz smilies just for funnies.

Please post any suggestions or topics I should've discussed...

I actually like the majority of what you suggested.

We do need a Graphics board; not all of the artists can/like doing web design.

There is a graphic board in there. It just won't be its own category. Artists don't have to like doing web designs. I don't get why your saying that. If you're talking about the site theme. I'm pretty sure there is someone out there willing to do one. Maybe a reward for it?

rsps section should keep the split server/client thing.. I don't wanna go through 90 million leached pi "releases" to find a decent client.

I find myself agreeing with this.

Regarding the server, we just need some base for all of us to come together and play. Something to do when we're bored, nothing fancy.

@ Galkon, yes I know we had a PI before but it was not widely publicized. I knew about it right before it got removed. There wasn't a "play" link in the navigation bar.

There will be less leeching, because mods will actually cut down on people who leech servers.
