Advertisement threads & Market threads aren't allowed anyway. There is no harm in people posting a link to their thread to bring attention to it (just like what you're doing) regardless of where it is.

I know it is annoying when people constantly post the link to their help threads, but you just have to put up with it.

I don't think help threads should be allowed to be shouted more than once every 10-20 minutes though. It gets quite annoying when people come into the shoutbox and expect everyone to help them.

What do you have against links? There the same as text and they hurt no one. Just make spamming them against the rules.

For example:
If someone posts a link and the link is already visible in the shoutbox without you needing to scroll down then they should be infracted for spam.
