I actually agree with this, but I doubt it'll be done due to the fact of what happened last time. For some reason "Veteran" doesn't mean "old member that has stayed with the forum" like it does everywhere else, it means "Anybody that contributes in the slightest way".

No. They would make people that don't really know Java so well, but release tutorial/know RS2 protocol the programming rank, like SWAT, Galkon, Paladino76, e.c.t.

the programming part changed over time, now it isnt needed, actually, for more than 2 years programming hasnt been a necessary requirement

In reality, instead of splitting the group why not just rename the group. The term "Veteran" no longer applies as relatively new people have the rank and the Java mascot icon would only apply if everyone in the group were experts at Java which they aren't.

It's just not going to work, and if the admins say no, it means no. Sure you can have a little protest over a rank etc,
