This honestly isnt the place to learn how to program properly.

I started here, and I would say I picked up quite a lot. Also, it's easier to learn off of other's work than create your own and go from there. Especially when the people know what they are doing (although the majority here don't).

You pick up nothing but bad habits here, with the very few exceptions. Also I agree its easier to learn off of others work, but as I said before, the work off here isn't good to copy.

Well, you will always learn the basics before you acquire your own coding style. It's very easy to learn how the code works in the most basic functions from here. Also, if you're smart you will know who to learn from, and who to avoid.

I spent like a year here, learned next to nothing; barely even the retardedly simple things. I borrowed Sun's old book from my library and learned more in 2 weeks from that then ever did here.
