I am here to learn how to program. To me it is fun and it's what I'd maybe like to do for a job someday. I haven't been around the rsps world long enough to learn too much yet but I'd love to. This honestly isnt the place to learn how to program properly.

Start by reading the official Java tutorials, then advance on to applying those concepts in your own examples. After you are fluent at that, continue experimenting with areas you're unfamiliar with and then look at other peoples work(which I find the most helpful) to learn new techniques.


But in the end it all depends on how you like learning and at what rate you learn.

The Java tutorials? Proper programming sites such as stackoverflow? These are not forums to learn how to program on, these are forums for RSPS, which is so full of children that I doubt it will ever turn into a programming forum.

You joined here April 2011, you'll just get used to it. Some people try to hide behind their screen and act though, most of those people are probably worth nothing in real life and just want to take revenge on others, they are cowards in my opinion.

You'll witness a lot more rudeness here, some of them even go as far as sending food to your house, stalking you, contacting your real friends. The Internet in general is a cruel place, but in time you'll get used to it.

This happens everywhere, from the Slums of the internet to professional cooperation forums. We try to enforce the rules as consistent as possible, and are always looking for more moderators to help.
