Well, sadly, my title was cut-off.

To begin my rant, I would like to start off by thanking you for taking the time to at least read this far. If this is as far as you plan to read, please leave it that way and don't bother replying. If you do however take the time to reply with an opinion undoubtedly stated without reading the content of this thread, I will report your post and have you killed by morning. Do not test me.

Let's start off by commenting on the uselessness of the "spam" section. Now I know that some of you simpler ones will defend its existence by claiming "well, if you don't like it, don't go there.", but as a frequenter of Rune-Server, I'm beginning to see the spread of the hole that is the "spam" section seep into other, less appropriate sections. From "memes" spewed by Scu to repetition of said "memes" in other threads not even located in the same section as their origin, I'm beginning to rethink my decision to have the section kept alive. Although in the beginning (or well since I joined), I've seen some pretty funny or otherwise interesting threads spawned in that section, it's becoming nothing but a cesspool of childish behavior and excessive stupidity. From members creating threads solely in attempts to have compliments fished, or for the sharing of a single, stupid image, the section has absolutely no more justifiable purpose. I'd personally like the see the section removed, and its inhabitants as well.

When I mentioned the spreading of the content that in no way has business being in other sections, I wasn't really trying to make "the funny". Although I was one to smile at the occasionally and correctly placed "umad?" comment, it's become as old as AJ's reasons to close threads. I know it's a little much to expect from a community populated mainly by children who've barely grown out of suckling the tit of their mother, but it has to stop. I mean, yeah, there's a time and a place for everything, but the excessive use of every single comment that is in anyway remotely clever is, well bluntly, annoying as shit. Honestly, I think it would be on fair grounds for infractions to be handed out to any members who have the audacity to use said "memes" on grounds of rule 5 and 9 (5: "Trolling" in this section is strictly prohibited. The posting of pictures or information with intentions to aggravate or insult other members will be severely punished.; 9: Any posting of random gibberish will be dealt with accordingly. Not only does it lack to serve any purpose, it's pointless.)

This leads me to my final problem: As every single member on these forums has probably noticed, we're now the home to several 4chan originated emotes. It's rather hypocritical, in a sense, that staff members bitch and whine about the use of said emotes, yet there is absolutely no effort made to remove of them. I remember when I had originally seen the "jelly" emote, and I practically shit a brick. Upon seeing it, I had immediately written a rant regarding its inhabitance on these forums to which I was replied, by an Administrator, that it was only a joke and would be removed soon. Surprisingly, here we sit with that same emote staring me right in the face.



Not only does this community have some serious cleaning up to do, there has to be some major changes in order to once again be recognized as the community we were before.

anyway. I think the spam section is fine as it is. It helps prevent such topics from spilling over into other forums, and gives us all a place to relax.

It's useless, I can admit that. However, it's nice to know we have a place that's useless to call our own. Where when we feel the urge to spam like senseless idiots we can do so in a place that is confined in its own little section.

I support that the spam section is useless. However I do not support its removal.

The meme's are getting stupid, I agree especially the 'aint ur blog' one, it's quite idiotic tbh.

I find the spam section to be some-what useless, and to me it doesn't really matter if it's removed or not, but I do agree with a lot of what you're saying.

I honestly sometimes log into Rune-Server and go to the Spam section because its fun being stupid once in a while without getting punished for it.

The spam section should just be a place to be stupid when you want and just troll/meme dump/ anything you want there.

Most of the users who use the spam section actually act quite different when they surf other boards, no spam, no trolls, just concrete posts.

And yes, the memes, ARE quite annoying, but the whole point of SPAM is
