Relatively active topics stimulating discussion getting closed in RS2 Server section

In the RS2 Server section: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] there are a few relatively active topics that have been 'mysteriously' closed for no apparent reason.

These are:

• What should I use for server base
• What All RSPS Communitys Have Become...
• RuntimeMXBean - useful utility things
• JavaRebel - 'Updating' without restart

The latest posts on these were yesterday/today so they are hardly inactive. No mod posted a comment and afaik a user cannot close their own topic.

These topics were provoking quite interesting and thoughtful discussion and even though they weren't necessarily related directly to RS server discussion, they were still useful.

In fact, in some of them, some people have asked questions that are not answered, it's not as if the discussion is over.

Although the 'what I should use for server base' should probably be locked, the others certainly shouldn't be in my opinion. I suspect it may be one of the mods/cleaners trying to make it look like they are doing more however closing them is just 'over-moderating'. Maybe they want to make it look like they have done more: if you are judging mods like that it is probably bad, especially if these topics haven't really broken any rules.

Anyway that's my little complaint over. Hope the staff realize the points I'm getting at here and consider changing policies/opening these topics .

I'm not sure who did it, but as I seen no reason for them to be locked I've unlocked them. I will discuss with certain moderators whom I suspect that when locking any thread, a response is near mandatory.

Okay, thanks . There are quite a few like that in the 503+ section (like 'Benefits of saving', 'New stuff', 'Proof RS is written in Java', etc) which are active and locked without reason too. Any chance you can investigate those too (only just noticed them )?

It is ronaldo trying to get moderator logs.
He moved my thread to spam and it was about advancing to 474's.

I'd really like for this issue to be sorting out, there's so much that could be posted on these kind of topics but they just keep getting locked (presumambly for a mods/rsps cleaner's gain).

Probably because of the amount of spam in them.

If they can help the community go further or help base ideas to help us go further I dont see a problem with them. If theres spam and either the cleaners or responsible moderators of the section should clean it up.
