I hated on the Discord at first, but I think it's great for r-s now. The multiple channels allow you to have better/different conversations then you would on the forums/sb and they're simply more active. Voice chat can obviously get annoying depending on who's in it, but other than that it's good.

From what I've seen, racism/blatant flame/etc. has all been swiftly removed from text channels. The bots, as multiple staff members have already said numerous times), are being configured as time goes on, and automated chat filters are also really hard to configure correctly. They may frequently remove some content incorrectly, or are otherwise easy to bypass and not reliable. They're good for anti-spam (i.e. repeated symbols, walls of text) but as for blacklisting words, it's totally unreliable. If "nigger" was blacklisted, I could simply bypass it by saying "n1gger", "nigg3r", "nnnniggggeerrr", and other endless possibilities that would be impossible to moderate automatically.

As for voice channels - the only racism I've seen is back and forth racial banter in which both parties were trading jokes/roasts. Also, the 1-3 staff members present didn't feel a need to step in given the circumstances. You also have the option to mute individual users on your own.
