Glad to see the forum is up and running again Kevin!

Having to host the forum under a different domain (for now) is painful to see for us all, but it's better than nothing. Others have already mentioned it in the other thread... but with Moparscape being a total shithole and and us (RuneLocus) having lost our 'historical' forum content after our HDD crash 6-7 years ago, Rune-Server's forum is the only place left with valuable historical information concerning RuneScape private servers. We shouldn't be losing our scene's history, thank you for taking care of it Kevin. As I told you, Skype me if you need any help.

What's the point of even mentioning RuneLocus in this thread, especially in a context like that? I never really understood why you'd hate on RuneLocus like that. I even find it disrespectful to post such a thing in a serious thread like this.

Just to clear it up for you: Rune-Server is not your website, it's Kevin's. Have you ever seen Kevin and I hating on each other? No, you haven't because we're allies and pretty much the only fundaments of this scene that are left. It makes absolutely no sense to mention my website like you just did, I personally consider it nothing more than childish.

With a joining year of 2009, you're nothing more than a RSPS toddler compared to actual veterans like Kevin, Travis (Moparisthebest), Silabsoft, Gander, Xerox, myself and a couple of others. Also a fun fact... the predecessor of RuneLocus was also complete taken down by GoDaddy (including removal of files). Just because of a Jagex DMCA that simply requested to remove a certain page from the website. You REALLY should avoid GoDaddy, Kevin is right on that.

Would it be possible the DNS Hijack could have lead to this.
Information that nobody caught on to could have been leaked from that point to cause this?

Nope, besides, the DNS hijack was done by someone completely different than the theft of the domain name.

while i agree the webpage loading times are very slow, i dont think the domain name can affect his, just the host, or am i wrong?

The domain name shouldn't have any effect on the load time of the page.

The main concern here is the SEO going to waste if the old domain name is lost.

Yeh because of past searches, u can still search random rsps crap and it points to links with old domain
other thing i noticed, is on new domain the links aren't as friendly like they were before, take ur sig for example:

That shouldn't be hard to fix for Kevin though :-)

The new domain will cause issues with being found on Google though, fully true. Losing 10 years of backlinks is a real pain...

The only concern is the fact RuneLocus was brought up in a demeaning manor. Over at RuneLocus, we have been nothing but sympathetic towards Rune-Server and have even been redirecting people to its new .ee domain. All whilst keeping a very updated thread as to what's occurring with the website. We've been nothing but helpful to Rune-Server during these times, there's no need for a make-believe war between the two sites - it doesn't exist.

I feel a little bad, when I released that source code I was under the impression N1 had died off. I mean after all he drove his own project into the ground by being shady and over protective.

I still have no idea who he is, however this might give some hints. He also bragged a lot about how he had access to a government search database.

I've started using x10premium (Sorry if this is considered advertising, remove if necessary!) I was just messing around putting together a small website and wanted to get a Secure SSL Certificate for my Domain, not only was it fairly cheep for a year but I had no idea how to set it up and messaged the support team and they asked for the Certificate file and they did it for me and explained how it works. 100% Support them. They also have a Cpanel for FREE or Premium Memebers if you wanted to try it out. Never get to offer my support in alot of areas and though this was a good place to start.

Looks like the domain has been put back under kevy's name and is redirecting to us again, the transfer date has not been updated though, but looks like hes in full control of it again.

We have now secured the original domain (www.rune–server.org).

Currently it is redirecting to our new .ee domain, however we may transition back in the coming days.
