RuneLive was a server originally developed by Affliction in 2008. When SoulSplit came into fame in 2009, RuneLive slowly died out due to young Affliction having other priorities at the time and consistent competition with SoulSplit's progression.
In 2016, Ikov2 came out under new ownership and development. Ikov2 eventually changed their name to RuneLive by permission of Affliction, when Affliction had then begun developing for RuneLive once again.
Between mid 2016 and January of 2017, RuneLive had opened and closed twice. Leaving what's left of it to Affliction at the end of January of 2017.
The slogan suggests that there were few or many places that RuneLive went wrong, starting with the consistent ownership of 3+ owners. Falador only brings 1 owner and 1 manager. RuneLive apparently had A LOT of material that desperately needed redone, as you can see in the developer's blog on our forums; Affliction has fixed those mistakes. Falador will also be bringing back a familiar feature of 'Game Modes' (as you can see in the thread) originally from the SoulSplit 1 era (in which Affliction was apart of.) And there's honestly so much more we could tell you, but I would just be rambling on and on and on.
Falador brings a lot to the table. If you look through the posts, you can see the amount of support it's already gotten, and just within a few days time. Continue supporting this project with us and you will not be let down.
No, I meant that I've browsed other threads in this section and this one doesn't particularly stand out except for the confusing slogan. I'm relatively new to the communities, there are a few RSPS posted here that really catch your eye, have unique features and interfaces, etc. But good luck none the less!
Beta is live, here is a link to bug fixes: Bug Fixes 16/02/2017 the beta link can be found here, it will remain in development/project stages for another 2 weeks.
Best of luck with this, Dave.

Majority of them are bug fixes, nerfs and re-writes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
and recently I've been working on Player Owned Ports;
Idea behind this is 3 different tier of boats (can easily add more in the future), can journey out once a day, the tier of boat defines how much loot you can get per a day, boats can go out once (possibly twice a day), bringing back resources depending on your levels, you have to use the lower tier boat for X Amount of days before you can upgrade to the next tier.
Ships can be damaged and require items such as Planks, logs, bars & coal to repair them or keep them maintained, your crew will also require X Amount of Gold per a day to go out on a voyage for you, with this, they may require 'junk items' like Cannonballs, or lower level fish, each ship has a different repair chance per a day, going up depending on your ships tier.
P.S I'm aware the dialogue doesn't make much sense, it's just placeholder text atm.
Dead?
