Hello again. We are back and we have a couple new things to show you all...
What have we been up to?
Well that's a long story, it's been a few months since we went silent and it was all for good reason. We were busy, with life, with other commitments and with Espial. We have taken quite a few different directions than what we originally planned, but I suppose I can summarize it:
- We said goodbye to RuneScape & Jagex.
- We said hello to Unity and creating our own server backend.
- We hired three artists, one concept, one character and one 3D artist.
- We hired a composer.
- We hired three more programmers.
- We made a LOT of progress.
Why have we been quiet? Why did we stop talking about Espial?
We went quiet about Espial simply because we felt too much pressure with the way we were developing it, we felt like we had to meet deadlines and have something to show each week, which in reality we could never reach. It was also a busy time as all of us either went back to university or school. Basically, it was an ineffective way of developing the game. Not only that but we felt limited by RuneTek and what we could achieve by being a RuneScape private server. So we took the next step, stopped everything we were doing and begun working in Unity and JP began writing our server back end.
