    Want to test? Post here saying you pmed me! Include a post here with your desired test username. Pm me an email to receive a slack invite(The test client is located here, and testing chat) Everything you say there will be monitored and filtered, then tested fully for solid information, and if valid, if it will then be assigned an urgency, assigned a developer to work on it, and then moved from backlog. Accounts are premade and account creation is disabled as this is a monitored and restricted test server.
    The aim is to find bugs and issues of all kinds. Dupes. Anything that creates a less then great play experience, and speak that in the testing chat on slack.

    My lead developer did runerewind/runesky way back in the day though isn't anywhere near that level. Currently is a software developer for Canvas Instructure, as well as many other person project. We have just switched over our character data to mongodb. We are starting work atm on middleware, IPb modification and integration. Staff panel and the likes. My team at the moment is rather solid with server backend, middleware, website and client. So many visions and things to be done, so many things to be seen for the first time.

    Our current team is as follows:
    Ruzylo - Marketing - Community Management - Focus on community success, marketing, ensuring everything meets proper deadlines and the likes. Bunch more on me but thats not what your looking for rn.
    Misty - Project Lead - Backend, middleware, ipb integration/modification, Loading and saving overhaul, security implementations, servers and database manager, Major bugs and content updates/server work, client work, staff panel. Short end is a limitation when it comes to visuals. Reviews codes pushing them to production server, wiIll however lead graphical toolkit development alongside whoever else.
    RS-Wiki - Server Developer - Community Manager - Assist in the above, take the lead in bug management and content development while misty finished middleware and staff panel
    Wallied Yessen - Lead client developer - Setup file server, add js5, add multi data, implement new login screens as they come

    We will be having an integrated client toolkit graphic that's gonna be coming after our launch
    Its basically a mobile website/swiftkit type deal. Your gonna be able to go through the vote process and rewards, donate, check highscores while playing, chatbox on forums, track progress relating to your account and make notes and all the cool account integration type features, discord, Saradomin Radio(Dedicated dj), option to request a song. I mean the list goes on. To screenshotting with automated uploads and links, to just so much more. Requesting staff tickets. The likes. Gonna have a ingame mod portion of the page to manage the game from a staff panel in the staff version of the application. Just a really solid piece. Its gonna be secure to the bone of adding each elevated users macs, and work with gauth to ensure a device is in hand for any staff based decisions, and everything else to a whitelist and that's that. SSH for certain accesses, highly customizable permission sets that are dependent on name not rank. (This is also the likes for the staff panel on the website, ingame as well as some of those for the client login authentication process for elevated accounts)
    Basically itll also match the website and client design
    Have an integrated client with extra abilities.
    For example if your playing ingame, right click them ingame to view that players character stats, logs and all the likes in the panel. Integrated staff and mod panel. Have our radio station, a way for someone to dj through it, a way for players to get involved and the likes, request songs. Theres gonna be a chat portion, with multIPle chats being available there, discord for users, forums chat for users, ingame chat, slack chat for staff.
    Then its gonna have a way to vote within the application
    Same with making a purchases and adding items to your shopping cart
    And then theres more.
    The list goes on. Its really in depth.

    EX: 2500 post count rank gets you 250m
    To fight fake post count gains and the likes, I imagine ill put it under a review basis. Once your rank gets hit, you get pushed to a place in the admin panel for your account/posts to be received to ensure legit gain, then, upon approval, award gained.

    The game needs to be hard to get a bil. You must have a solid amount of playing time and long veterancy to get 2b. I want a phat to be very rare. 1-10m 10% of server, first week players. 10-50m alright, less then 30% of players 2-3 week status, with solid daily commitment. 50-99m is well off(45% of server)1-3 months depending on luck and progress /economy, 100m is rich, 10% of server at most(6-9months of playing or paid). 1b is crazy rich, less then 3%, 2b is less then 1%. 3b+ Less then 1%. <<< All those should be 1y+ players or high donors/amazing pkers.
    For an idea of how we aim the economy to play out
    Gonna write out for skills also. As in the timeline that's would be generally met for each 99 or for each milestone, 1500 skill level, 1600 skill level, 2200 skill level the likes
    So by x amount of time registered as an account and actively playing an average player would be here in total level and XP

    Account creation is as such. Make an account on server, ingame account is made and fully linked. Make an account ingame and visa versa.

    Look at images: The orbs are for forums account image(For accounts players save to quick login), we will have a Saradomin one for default users who dont set one. When saving an account you will be required to enter a pin code. This pin code must be entered at quicklogin. (More security for elevated accounts)
    Account creation is as such. Make an account on forums, ingame account is made and fully linked. Make an account ingame and visa versa.

    Got dreams regarding a fully customizable client. As much mix and match as you get to create your perfect client to every players standards. Can more or less mix and match data between the revisions, with everything that includes. So if you wanted the ground and things not hd or be 317 styles, you could do that, but if you want new item models (Runescape armor and monster graphics overhaul)you could choose them, and if you wanted the map to be 317 or 614 or 718 you could choose that, and if you wanted the tabs to be something different you can. The ability to as possibly replicate a 718 as possible. Of couse there would be issues with certain areas or activities, that would require you to change it and restrict you from changing it in certain regions and the likes. If you wanted the hitmarks to be this or that it was within the players power to make a level of nostalgia and game play they prefer. This would also include a massive way to remarket and rebranch out to many more player types, and give us bragging rights of course. We would be setting up a file server of course for this if needed. We are running everything on multIPle servers and fully utilizing google cloud. The important point was no restriction, so major every revision type, not just 5. Get me? This also would hopefully help to remove the limitation of keeping up to date content in from real rs along with our own.

    Content and mini games are a massive thing we are wanting more and more of. Castle wars I hope to promote highly. With special twists and updates to keep it unique.

    The idea for us to be at a content forward place in development is going to be to create a solid system in which content is easier to implement. To ensure we aren't adding content to a game that's already broken. And to ensure content is being added in at a fastest rate with as little work as needed.

    Highly specific permission options. Can alter which pages they can and cant see. On each page what they can and cant do, down to the very core of things. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

    That's our current admin panel list of things we have in mind, changes as more things comes into play. Some ideas/plans not listed.

    I have a solid system in place for Making money. There is a subscrIPtion system. This system costs roughly 4$/month, 12/month, can be bought for others, and must stay active for the following.

    With subscrIPtion you gain a bonus in XP, drop rate, obtain a ring of wealth, and slight other benefits. Usually if you cant buy it, a player will sell it to you for ingame items or cash(Promotes income of buying items so to speak without flowing items ingame, rather transfers wealth.)

    There are addons you can buy for set prices, they require your subscrIPtion to stay active to be in effect.

    Extra slayer points per task - 5$
    Extra vote point per vote - 5$
    Extra 2% drop rate increase - 5$
    Extra 2% drop rate increase2 - 5$
    Extra 4% XP increase - 5$
    Extra 4% XP increase2 - 5$
    300 run energy - 5$

    Things like that. This system is in place to ensure promotion of perks being bought over items. Whether that's one rich kid selling to players or the ladder. Also ensures players can spend money to the dollar they have spare and focus on these long term advantages over items.

    These tiers will stack with any addons purchased already. They will require a subscrIPtion to remain active, but permanently remain active with the subscrIPtion.

    Bronze Subscriber will
    Be the first upgrade tier. -$25
    This will get an extra 1% drop rate
    An extra 3% XP increase
    An extra 100 run (there is an option to buy 300 run in the game, needs to consider this and make it 400 if both are bought)

    Silver Subscriber will be the seconomynd upgrade tier -$50
    Same as last tier with
    Another 2% drop increase
    Another 3% XP increase
    Extra vote point per vote
    Option to :eposit which puts all items in your inventory into your bank, not usable in wilderness.

    ::booth which despawns their last booth if any is up, and spawns a personal quick deposit booth to choose what to deposit.

    5% extra slayer points (unsure how this system is, might need to be looked at, make sure 5% would make a difference. Unsure if its 1 point per task. If so, an extra point per 3 tasks will work instead)
    Get an extra 2% drop increase with Ring of Wealth
    Gets an extra 10% damage against Dark Knight Overlord

    Platinum Subscriber will be the forth tier $200
    Another extra vote point (3 total per vote)
    Another 2% XP increase
    Another 2% drop increase
    All the above and ::banker which spawns a personal banker for the player, where he can use the bank naturally. Only useable one time an hour.

    Diamond Subscriber will be the fifth tier at $300
    Same as all above.
    2% drop rate increase
    2% XP rate increase
    Gets ::bank everywhere but wilderness of course.
    Gets an extra 10% Resistance against void knight overlord


    Saradomin Legionnaire will
    be the last. This one is permanent and will no linger need monthly payments. $500
    Gets another 3% drop rate
    Another 3% XP rate increase.
    Option to have two familiars summoned (if possible)
    Gets another 3% increase to Row, as well as adds a 2% XP Increase to ring of wealths used on their account.
    500 Run
    Ability to turn on and off PKing (Whether or not you can or cant be attacked/attack others in the wilderness.) Requires 1 minute of no combat, as well as you can only enable/disable it outside the wilderness.
    Immune to Dark Knight Overlords effect.


    Lastly items are sold.
    With a decent choice solidly catagorized for easy ability to find what you want and buy it. With this said items are not cheap.
    They will get you an item and give you an advantage, but for example, spending $300 may get you a solid weapon, shield, amulet, and maybe a rare, but it is only worth 20 hours/week of a dedicated player camping a boss.

    With difficult ranks, and a economynomy built to encourage skilling and community training, and with very basic high priced items in stores at a very max to prevent as max as possible from buying from stores and if so your burning cash. PVP is promoted at all ranks and relies on time played not just money invested. A player can pay a solid amount, support the server and be at the fighting level of a player whos commited a solid week, but in order to progress any further and remain competitive continues paying or is required to play. And should they continue paying, they would remain low on highscore, making it again, not pay to win. While it can be seen, the end result is a constant player will always prevail over a player who pays, and in past ran that was believed true by the community.

    With this said, we aim to not be a fully pay to win server. How can that be with everything in place? Well its simple, ensure even with a maximum amount of money spent the only way to win is to dedicate a serious amount of time. We have decided to take on the role of a completely competitive server with a solid 50+ story line built on runescape backstory and lore that was never actually around for real runescape. I assigned a particular staff of mine to read all backstory of rs lore with a focus on the gods zamorak and Saradomin and implent an untold storyline thats fits into the current and true lore of runescape.

    I had a solid launch last time. With that said, I rushed it. With switching over data to sql last run one major bug popped up with 3k in ads around. We had a solid week of a solid release, then 2 weeks of a major bug pushing away players. Random resets, with no error. And On account creation, on first login only, when you logged out you were reset. No error, nothing out of the ordinary on death or login/logout methods. Issue in place I had my team start develpoment on easy way to monitor char files and fix wIPed accounts in minutes if they were willing to take the time to talk with staff. Starting putting in backup systems and the likes. Took 2 weeks to fix it. In that time, over 500 accounts with over 8 hours were wIPed and didnt login.(My marketing method was based on ikov/davids advertising method, with massive improvements), With the people willing to wait for help with staff and dedicated players still maintained 70-90 around the clock, with a 6.5k month income(At this time, we didnt have the rank additions to subscrIPtions(For big buyers to make a big increas in monthly income), and imagine it would have been higher with those implemented). Woulda managed a solid 400+ minimum playerbase first month initial launch if that all went right. Anyhow, got defaced right as I was leaving to bootcamp for the navy, I redirected my traffic and players, which ads were still bringing and people going to, to zamorak.net.

    With all the above considered I have a more attractive website, we have conquered all major issues, and have a solid list of all issues ingame from last run that never got fixed, and currently are having our client abused and mistreated by rsps hacking team members, known testers as well as people who knew the game very well last run. Packet testing and the likes. Gonna have everything out and on schedule to be fixed for a solid launch.

    Spoiler for How we run as a team and server:

    Everything that has been done, is marked to be done, or has been thought of and put in place has been to secure the longevitiy of Saradomin.

    With that in mind, its important to know all testing chat is being monitored and maintained within slack. Slack is where we are keeping all official staff and development chat, idea discussion and the like for a solid reconomyrd and professional staff communication environment. This will include plugins for the development teams for jira and bitbucket.

    We are using Jira for issue management and work assignment. We are using bitbucket to host the repo. Google cloud servers for everything. Security is at the front of our list to ensure longevity of Saradomin and will include ssh and gauth, as well as required secure passwords, and more. All sensitive data is being secured with bcrypt.

    We are under a professional development enviroment, with a professional business take on everything.

    We are taking a proper approach to bitbucket. Mandatory code reviews and approvals prior to being pushed to production. There will be a dedicated server for developers testing and with developers immediate ability to pull, compile and restart the server remotely from the staff panel, for your live testing.


    With many more visions and ideas that I wont include here. I hope to have achieved you as a dedicated developer so we can talk anything else needed out. I hope you feel confident in where this is going. Including a twist on a PvP world using Saradomin/Zamorak as a side system

    From what I remember about this project a while back was that you guys are using Notorious as a base?

    I remember when I founded the project with you. Ahhh... all the pain and suffering we went through working with this base.
