Try booting into safe mode and see if it works on there
This problem is very easy to fix bud! Go to your local hardware store. Purchase a really nice hammer! Take the Computer outside. Then beat down the Adapter inside the Laptop and all should work!
Dunno if you're still having the problem Jack, but I had this issue on both my Desktop (Step 2) & on my laptop (Step 1, which you can skip if you don't have or use BitDefender).
If you have BitDefender installed, for some reason on Windows 10 it doesn't seem to update or the setting "Block internet connection sharing" is enabled which for some reason causes issues on Windows 10.
Additionally it may be a settings in Windows 10 it's self, go to Power Options, click on "Change plan settings" the click on "Change advanced power settings" scroll down till you see "Wireless Adapter Settings" expand that, expand "Power Saving Mode" and change whatever state it's in (if it's not already) to "Maximum Performance", Windows 10 also likes to turn your network card off it's self, if it's not being used an awful lot, which is silly.
Shoot me a Skype message if it doesn't fix it.
What afflication said should work, similarly to that video posted on the last page. Happened to me for the longest time and I just turned off some setting related to power (apparently shutting off the wifi and reconnecting saves power, hence why it happens).
I think what afflication said is what I did, but if not look for something else related to that.
