Try and uninstall any other network driver such as TAP driver etc
|
Hey,
Figured there are some decent tech guys around here, so why not ask for help here!
The issue is ever since I bought my MSI gaming laptop (GE72-2QD) to be precise and it upgraded to windows 10, it has had connectivity issues. Basically my internet will drop out on a 5 - 15 minute basis at a constant and the drop-out lasts for about 5 - 60 seconds, this happens on ANY network I'm connected to.
Things I have done to try and solve this problem
- Updated the network drivers by downloading updates directly from the vendors website
- Made sure my wifi is not shutdown due to power (This shouldn't be an issue as my laptop is always hooked up with a power source).
Help is appreciated : - )
Nothing special but here's how it looks.

This is the same problem as my parents laptop... I even reset everything and still happens every 1-3 hours. I feel like its windows 10 thats causing it.
whatever wifi you are using, go to your settings and check what channel your wifi is on, you should change it to 11, since your wlan is 802.11 and most routers have it set to automatic. doubt w10 itself would cause that.
The channel is already 11
Already done this, it no work.
Worth mentioning;
I just checked the wlan report and it says that "the network is disconnected by the driver", so I just tried to delete and reinstall the driver, I'll report back if that worked.
I've had the same exact problem ever since I bought my new laptop Lenovo Y50-70 over a year ago. Tried mostly everything I could find on Google and forums, but no success. Good luck with this hope you fix it.
