Hello, have a question.. This is basic but just trying to understand.
Question is:
Derivate this:
f(x)=3e^x^2+2
So what i did was = 3e^u
u=x^2+2
u'=2x
f'(x)=3e^u*u'=3*e^x^2+2*2x
=6xe^x2+2
Well you might think, "you solved it"? well i did but i have an issue. I dont understand why you have to multiply at this step: 3e^u*u' ... Why do you have to multiply e^u*u'? I think there's a rule for this but can't find it. If there's a rule, its understandable.
Thanks for the help : )
