Would like to see this, currently developing some basic VR games in unity for fun / uni. Would be nice to be able to see tutorials and ask for help, as well as see what others work on.

No, that's not why. If people wanted a Game Devlopment section, they'd be posting where ever is most applicable and asking for a section specifically for it. I haven't seen anybody post a suggestion for a Game Development section in like 6 years. You've nullified your own suggestion - there is no activity to warrant a separate section, and as such one does not exist.Application development has some game content in there but that's because there's no section actually for game development.

EDIT:
And for the record, the CS:GO section is pretty dead now, but it wasn't when it was created. It was an experiment gone wrong and I take responsibility for it considering I pushed pretty hard for it being the mod of that section in specific at the time. Stop trying to use that as leverage to get stupidly pointless sections added. Just because we have one that doesn't mean we need them all.
I support the idea. If application development section lacks activity, it's either because people expect it to be for general applications, or (possibly) because the section is located so far towards the bottom of the webpage, causing people to not catch a glimpse of it.
I support the idea and gave a yes on the poll. But I think realistically it won't happen.
An overwhelming majority of people are here strictly for RSPS (duh) and there's just no need. I don't see new people joining a runescape/rsps themed forum for general game development related needs. And for those already here, clearly no one expresses the need for such a section. Because of these reasons, I know admins won't implement it but I'd still like to see it happen as it could become active but it just isn't likely.
