what are your settings and what are you trying to stream
|
Hello lads, so basically my computer starts lagging as hell when i try to livestream, so the question is where can i improve on? I dont want to spend 100s of euros but just an indication of what i can do.
Specs:
Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q9300
6GB RAM
Windows 7
NVIDIA GeForce GT 220
HELP! : - (
what are your settings and what are you trying to stream
shitty processor
what game are you trying to stream? your cpu grabs the frames and encodes them so if its a cpu intensive game you might be maxing out
can you give me the make and model of your motherboard to recommend a cpu upgrade
its a 2.5ghz quad core, my laptop can stream games like rs and its a 2ghz amd "quad core"
could even pick up a cheap mobo and like a g3258 for ~100eur
I doubt it is related to your old intel architecture. I rock a Q9550 on my desktop at home still. I don't use it for much anymore - but it doesn't give me issues regarding computing power. There are other variables involved - a build using such an older CPU likely has an older HDD and a software history, messy registry, etc. You probably have a dependency issue somewhere - something that the streaming process is demanding. Upgrade to a solid state drive and a fresh O/S install and go from there. It will be like a whole new computer.
