OT: its nice of you giving this much of information you have looked well into it but as a tutorial i would have made sections: so people can skip a lot without seeing 10k words people get fast bored by something called to much info for their goal when they think they wont need. if they need they will click their self for the info

I like how you showed the sword "clean" not to many faces also.

EDIT: if you color make sure you hold the difference not to big make it have slight changes don't go from dark immediately to light but do it by steps
just see the sword for what i mean i am bad in explaining

by this sword it looks like its glowing while its not. its just the colors that makes it look like its glowing. ( took me a long time to make it look like this)

Thanks Ziva! I look up to you
i'll look into creating "skip to" buttons for everyone.

Cinema 4d is much easier to work with for modeling purposes, of course you can do a lot more than just model.

The program you requested people use for the tutorial looks (no offense) really shitty, it looks like an earlier version of blender or even wings..

Paying $30 - $125 usd is not worth it, too many 100% free editors out there with better features and an easier learning curve, never heard of "Metasequoia" before.

Maybe you should teach people how to put their models in-game - newbies aren't going to learn how to model if they can't use their models on their server.

Interesting tutorial, was a good read.

Sadly I don't think modeling is for me though! Still nice to see how it's done though, haha
