Ligthart
v1.0.0
Here by I present: Ligthart v1.0.0. Ligthart is a Grav compatible website theme. If you don't know what Grav is, I really suggest you take a look at their
website. Why the name Ligthart? My lastname is Ligthart and I really couldn't come up with anything better (might change in the future).
Grav
Grav is a really lightweight CMS which does not use databases, just flat files. This has some benefits, it's faster. Not only your web page (since you can make this as slow as you want to), but the administration panel is very fast as well. Ever worked with WordPress and had to wait ages before your 'edit page' or 'themes' opened? Those times are over,
get Grav!
For more information, getting started and documentation take a look at
Grav's website.
Now, back to Ligthart
Grav gives you the opportunity to use themes apart from the theme they deliver. So, why not make one myself I thought? I have started developing a theme several days ago. I made a
Github so you all can follow my progress and maybe even steal the theme away! It's not done and usable though (yet). I'll be updating it for very very very simple use this week. But except bigger and better features later!
I won't be placing every little daily update in this topic, but the bigger things I will mention in a log below.
Ligthart will be using
Bootstrap's Alpha for version 4. I really like the Bootstrap v4 because of the compatibility with SCSS.
Update Log
Code:
9 march 2016
- Started the theme's configuration so Grav will be able to see it as a theme.
Due to lack of time, I won't be updating this every day/week.
One more thing, be sure to checkout
Forcir's Patterns project, and also take a look at their their
UI Design Kit!
