    Hello.

This is my first post on Rune-server excluding the Introduction.
This is a Photoshop tutorial on creating a logo or signature for forums.
I don't know if there's already many tutorials like this out this, but I hope this helps.

    End result (NO BACKGROUND):

I'm gonna do this by steps.

    Step 1:
    Spoiler for Media:
Download this font: Orion Pax (scroll down for download)
and these patterns (pack): Grunge Circles

    Step 2:
    Spoiler for Media:
Open Photoshop and go to File > New.
Name it what you want. I usually use 650 X 250 for signatures or logo's.

    Step 3:
    Spoiler for Media:
Use the text tool to write your RSPS's name (Or your user for signatures). Type out all of your letters separate, it doesn't matter where you place them for now.

    (I'm writing Signature)

    Step 4:
    Spoiler for Media:
Now what you wanna do is bring them together like so:

So they look close. (TIP: You can use CTRL+CLICK to select multiple layers and move them all at once.)

    Step 5:
    Spoiler for Media:
Double left-click any letter in your word(s). You should see this.

    Step 6:
    Spoiler for Media:
Click Gradient Overlay which is 10th on the list. Click on the gradient. (NOT THE ARROW)

    Step 7:
    Spoiler for Media:
You can either make your own gradient if you don't already have one, or use a orange one like I'm going to. (Double left-click the arrows to change the color)
First arrow: #ff0000, second arrow: #ff2a00, third arrow: #ff6000

Press 'New' if you want to save it then hit OK.

    Step 8:
    Spoiler for Media:
Apply these options onto Gradient Overlay.

    Step 9:
    Spoiler for Media:
Apply these options to Pattern Overlay. (Choose any pattern you would like.)

    Step 10:
    Spoiler for Media:
Apply these options onto stroke. (The color can be your choice, but I used the same gradient as for the letters.)

    Step 11:
    Spoiler for Media:
Apply these settings to Bevel and Emboss.

    [Step 12:
    Spoiler for Media:
Apply these settings to drop shadow.

    Step 13:
    Spoiler for Media:
Now click OK on the FX window.

    Step 14:
    Spoiler for Media:
Right click the layer you edited (The one that says FX) and click 'Copy Layer Style'

    Step 15:
    Spoiler for Media:
Now hold CTRL and left-click all the other layers, and afterwards right click any one of them and click 'Paste Layer Style'

    Step 16:
    Spoiler for Media:
DONE!! Now you can add any other features or pictures you'd like to add on to it. You can disable the background by clicking the eye
    next to 'Background'

No offense but this is a pretty dated style of forum signature. Get with the times, man

Well laid out though, keep it up

Instead of copying the layer style, you could have just merged the text layers before applying the effects. Good job tho

They both said Good Job and Keep it up? Then provided some CnC. Replies were on point...

This is basic, and the tutorial definitely could've been made in a way more user friendly format, showing both the image and the steps. However, most tutorials do tend to just say steps rather than show, so this should help beginners.

Not bad man, will come in handy to people who need something quick and have little experience.
