There is no proof to say this is legitimate.
Skip to around 1:30 to see the 'reply' from Jagex.
"Hey there 13uffalo,
Thanks for getting in touch buddy, it's good to hear from you.
I watched your entire video and have made some good points. We totally understand that players want options, and to make their own choices. 2007 wasn't picked arbitrarily; I believe it was chosen because we had a completed archived save of that particular version of the game. To my knowledge (and I may be wrong here), we do not have a full game archive of other versions of RS, such as 2009 - which could mean having to get our Dev team to re-create parts of the old game if we were to release that version."
RuneScape to bring back pre-eoc servers?
The somewhat official "Petition" can be found here. What are your opinions on this? Is it a step too far, especially after the 07 servers? Did you enjoy the Pre-EOC era?
Spoiler for Another video this user made to counter some arguments that were put forth to him:
nty eoc is cool.
This could be great man. Np for linking you . Let's get this known. 2011 here we come. c:
i liked the 2010 - 2011 time
Does that mean you have to retrain everything again?
Highly doubt they'd run all three 2007Scape, 2011Scape, and EoCScape.
2009 was my pick, 2009 was by far the best year content wise, bh craters and such, always something to do. Anyways if this is legit that would be great, thanks for showing this BTW.
Yeah cause no one can fake an email nowadays.
This is kinda dumb, but does bring a few okay points back. I don't think 09' would have nearly as much attention as 06/07 did, so it's questionable to me whether or not it would be profitable. You see people doing 2006/2007 remakes here all the time, but not very many 09 remakes.
The idea that they would hire a team to remake content that already existed doesn't seem likely.
I doubt it's going to happen since they already declared 07 for "years on". Maybe they take a few worlds from it and add some pre-eoc, i'd play though.
