Welcome, This tutorial will help you in making your private server, Credits in the end

You will need winrar before u continue, download link below

    Code:
    http://www.download.com/3001-2001_4-10745708.html
    Step1: Getting JDK

you will need to download jdk and jre (jdk cant be installed without jre)
it could be found in java.com

    Step2: Getting Source

you will need a source to start with, i personaly recommend CheeseScape or TestScape for begginers, you could download them from the following link
    Code:
    CheeseScape: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=W8NCP0YC
    TestScape: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZRQA0L1M
    Step3: Getting no-ip & duc

Visit [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and register there, after logging in you should see something like this

    then you should see this

for hostname type the ip you want and chose from the list the rest of the ip u desire
make sure host type is on DNS Host (A)
ip adress should be your external ip adress, if you dont know it open [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and copy the ip

    Step4: Setting The Enviroment Variables

for compiling your server you will need to set the enviroment variables (unless you want a complicated compiler)

on your desktop right click on my computer and chose properties, then chose Advanced from the upper tabs
you should see something like this

    click on Enviroment Variables

you should see two things called : User variables for "your windows username" and System variables

under User variables for "your windows username" click on New

For variable name type : classpath
    For variable value type: CLASSPATH=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_06\bin;%CLASSPATH%;

    Red = Will be editing

for the first red (C) put the drive letter which has your program files and java installed (deafult is C )
for the second red (jdk1.6.0_06) put your jdk version instead, Example : i have jdk 6u7 then i put jdk1.6.0_07 - i have jdk 6u5 then i put jdk1.6.0_05
    and so on

after done click ok, the value u added should appear under User variables for "your windows username"

    under System variables click new

For variable name type : path
    For variable value type: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_06\bin;

for the first red (C) put the drive letter which has your program files and java installed (deafult is C )
for the second red (jdk1.6.0_06) put your jdk version instead, Example : i have jdk 6u7 then i put jdk1.6.0_07 - i have jdk 6u5 then i put jdk1.6.0_05

    step5: Getting Client To Play

you can download clients or play on web clients, i recommend using silab web client which could be found in the following link

    Code:
    client.silabsoft.org
Step6: Enabling Port From Your FireWall

before we do port forwarding you will need to allow a port to be opened through your firewall

Open control panel and switch to classic view (if you havent already) and look for windows firewall, once found double click to open it

when its opened chose exeptions from the upper tabs and press add port

For name type:any thing it wont matter
For Port Number type:43594 (or any thing, but 43594 is the most used and i recommend it)
make sure the circle chosen is the one next to TCP

once done press ok and ok again

step7: Getting No-Ip DUC (for router users only)

open [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and open the downloads tab

Chose your operating system and continue to download

after download is complete and No-Ip DUC is installed, you should see something like this when u open it

dont forget to keep checking on your ip's from a time to another to make sure they are up-to-date

step8: Port Forwarding (for router users only)

to allow others logging in your server you must do the port forwarding

    open the following link
    Code:
    http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm
click on your router model, from the next page chose any and i mean any thing from the list

open your deafult gateway as shown in the guide, follow every thing till you have to enter the name and ports

    For name type :RSPS
For any thing that needs ports:43594 (or the port you opened in firewall)
    For port type choose:TCP

    YOU ARE FINISHED!!!

hope i helped every body and those who wanted to know how to make runescape private server
