Procedure
Step 1: Hi, welcome to my tutorial on how to make a simple machines forum for your server. Start off by downloading simplemachines from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] just save that file to your desktop.

Step 2: Okay now were going to get a ftp client...this client was made in java and no need to even download it! [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Step 3: Ok, extract the version of simplemachines you have to your desktop, and prepare to configure your crossftp client ahhhh

Step 4: Once your connected to your site(right side) make a new folder called "Forum". then go to the folder that has your simplemachines stuff(left side)

Step 5 This is the hard part...we need to setup our forums now...
Ok type in your address bar in any browser.. your website name/forums/INSTALL.php(i use forums as an example its really the folder you saved the simplemachines stuff to)just follow the instructions there..

Step 6Okay you have a forum up and you don't know how to set it up..first you might want a fresh theme..go here and find a theme to your liking and save it to your desktop [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Next go to your forums and click admin and (just type the same password as your forums password) click themes and layout and go near the bottom, and upload the theme then click install

Step 7Ok you've got a theme and now your wondering how we get a forum set up... ok first click the Boards link in admin..This is where you add boards...if you click manage membergroups you can add things like seniour member pwnage member etc.
