    purpose: will help you get somewhat of an understanding of mySQL database's and XAMPP.

    knowledge: reading && typing

    difficulty: 3/10

    classes modified: N/A

    server base: N/A

    step 1: Download XAMPP from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] .

    step 2: after you have installed xampp go onto you're desktop and click on the XAMPP icon, under modules click on start for mySQL and apache.

    step 3: after that is done, click explore on the XAMPP control panel, it should be right under refresh.

    step 4: when the XAMPP folder opens, the folder htdocs is were all you're main files will be.

    step 5: now for the mySQL explaining, type localhost into you're internet address bar. it should take you to a place that says XAMPP in big letters and all languages under. click on wich language you prefer. then, you will see a list of things in the left panel. click on phpmyadmin, when you should see a text bar that says create a new database. name you're database to what kind of information you want it to require. when you're done that you should be into the database. on the top there should be a tab that says import. import the SQL table into it from you're computer. like for example james's highscore's tut you must upload the SQL file into you're database. so when you get the code save the code into a file called WHATEVER.sql, then you import it. then on the bottom right corner you should see a button that says go. click that button, then after it is done executing the file. click on the structure tab on the top.

    step 6: creating the main files on you're website. go back to the folder XAMPP and in that folder there is another folder called htdocs. go into that folder and scroll to the right. they're should be a file called index.html, that file can only contain html scripts. if you want you're index to require php delete the html file and save another file to they're, called index.php. after that to view you're site you must type localhost/index.php (or) .html,

    step 7: to view further tutorials on mySQL, PHP or HTML just follow these links: these website's will teach you what you want to know.
    w3schools.com
    (OR)
    tutorialized.com

    100% by me post or i remove. if it's useless i will remove, i will add pics later.
