However, melee kills do not advance the killer to a new weapon, but demote players to their previous weapon tier instead. The first person to achieve a kill with all twenty (or 18 in MW3, Ghosts, IW and WWII; 24 in Advanced Warfare) weapon tiers wins. However, if the match ends without anyone getting a kill with all the weapons, the player on the highest weapon tier wins the match. Due to the fact that only 20, 24 or 18 kills are needed to win, and the game is a Free For All, games are usually fairly short.

Scu already explained and it started as a joke but I want to explain how you could actually introduce this.

You could start everyone on a godsword and end up with someone on a bronze dagger.

    Cheers.

An RS version of this might appear similiar to last man standing where it's basically a free upgrade per kill but theres respawns/downgrades instead of knockouts.
If someone was interested in something like this, sure i'll chuck it in a thread sometime.

Dots are also incorperated into the line of sight mechanic. If you can't see the player, then you can't see their minimap dots either.

Looking for dots didn't appear super effective as a result. Playing a couple games with some bots running around, i found that it was miles easier to not bother looking at the minimap. Line of sight grants 10 squares of distance and because it feels like people appear out ofnowhere at times, my success rate of kills increased when i focused on snapping to players asap. Obviously that tactic doesn't work if people are already morphed.

Well sure. I also found that years of playing rs makes me instinctively look at the minimap which in this case was helpful and also a distraction at the same time.

If you're a seeker, you will need all the help you can get in all honesty. It's quite difficult.
