    Yo,

    Edit: This started out as a small game that i wasn't going to finish but i've decided to actually turn it into a project. I'll kick myself forever if i don't see it through.
    Big thanks to everyone with their input and ideas on this one. I wouldn't have bothered if people didn't see potential. Might move this to the project section.

    It's VERY rough around the edges but i will explain it the jist of it.

    Features:

    • Every pet is given base stats of Physical attack/ Magical attack / Ability
    • Abilities are entirely unique to each pet
    • During battle, your pets base stats are rolled against the enemies stats. The higher the number on the roll determines if an attack is a hit or miss
    • Each attack is turn based and works on a time limit - Taking too long will force skip your turn
    • First to kill their opponent wins


    To do list (old but i'll just update it slightly. Can't be bothered to reformat thread):

    There are plenty of things missing as well as a huge list of unfound bugs i can imagine will arise .

    Instead of damaging the players hp, it will damage the enemy pets hp. - Completed
    Attacks will make npcs perform emotes and fire projectiles. - Completed
    Not every ability has been added as theres a huge list of pets. - Not Completed
    I haven't found an area that will look appealing as a battle arena. - Completed
    The interfaces for this feature are still a huge work in progress. - Completed (I settled with dialogues).
    Each pets attacks can be upgraded but i haven't balanced it properly yet.- Haven't Started

    Spoiler for update 1.:
    Decided to post a few updates incase anyone was interested in following my progress.

    A desert theme has been decided for the battle arena.
    With a kind offer from Chanston, an arena might be built for this minigame and we decided to settle for here:

    I appreciate minor details, so i made a smooth transition into the battle arena before it begins.
    (sorry, gyazo .gif's butcher the fps but it is smooth i swear)

    Huge thanks to chanston for the custom map.

    Background updates:

    *Damage is done to pets instead of players
    *Working on pet movement during battle but this is super early
    *Created custom pathing for npc's for decorative features such as a cleaner keeping our arena spic & span etc. (Could be useful for quests/cutscenes in the future i suppose).
    *Lots of bug fixes. Like... a lot.




    Spoiler for Update 6:
    I have moved the Pokemon arena from the desert into a minigames area where you can access all the games i have made.


    You can challenge players to a pokebattle now similiar to how you challenge people at Duel Arena



    While a pet is following you, it can attack enemies that are within 1 square distance from you. Pets will stop attacking the moment the player is no longer attacking. (Pets will not attack if the player is eating/stunned etc). Pets engaging in regular combat outside of the minigame cannot be hit by other npcs.

    It's not really what i'd deem playable at the moment but when it's done, it should be a few laughs.

    Working on a way to balance upgrading base statistics.
    So far i have come up with wilderness npcs dropping items that you can use to imrpove your pets stats over time.
    I have 3 tiers of tokens. Rarer pets use rarer tokens. etc.


    ... don't judge the interfaces, i'm not a designer.

    Would be cool to see some stall attacks like Freeze with Ice Barrage or healing/damage over time skills like blood barrage, or even a skill that lowers/increase damage.
