I remember having this idea numerous years ago, super basic and easy. Not really a showoff I'm it's standard.
I can now rethink and probably take this to new levels nowadays.
Anyways it's a neat unused concept.
That's interesting, maybe you can dig other terrains or biomes as you level up
Just some ideas. Digging next to plants can give herb seeds. Digging next to trees can give tree seeds. In a bank has a chance to find gold. Near the shore to find caskets. Idk there's a lot of lil things you could do with this.
Not bad could make the system kinda like the archaeology profession on WoW where whatever part of the map you are on will give corresponding items from that zone for example let's say you dig in the Falador mines you could get something like a "Dwarven pickaxe" or something to give like a 5% chance to receive double the ore at a rare chance of course
I personally wouldn't go off and make it an official skill as the concept is far too small overall, perhaps a archeologist type of skill where this'll be useful.
Probably the best feedback you'll end up on overall imo.
