Hi there,
I have recently re-developed my quest system to integrate different types of interactions. This post shows a main and side quest, both with differential features and actions.
The Quest system includes:
- Unique quest IDs
- NPC and Object interaction
- Flexible dialogue progression
- Flexible quest stage progression
- Side quest implementations and injections
- Cutscene system (not shown in this video)
- Dialogue item recognition
- Smart NPC interactions
- Rewards system
- Assigns areas with a key, can only unlock if the Quest ID is completed
- Server sided implementation for Quest Icon positions (sends to and draws from client)
- Individual quest files for character saving
- Journal interface & string updating (need to make the tab interface)
- Journal strike outs
Known bugs in this video:
- Duplicated option numbers (fixed)
- Facing east when clicking objects
- Character face model missing (fixed)
- Nulodion skips a dialogue about cannonballs (fixed)
Quest Media:
*Since my other thread about the Dragonkin Furnace was closed, I have decided to place the video here
*Both links have been removed from the videos and now contain no further prohibited attributes
Dragonkin Furnace Features:
- Can process one ore at once
- Each ore is converted by the Dwarf's Conversion machine
- Can collect heated metal bars from the cart with Ice gloves
- Ice gloves must be used at all time when handling heated items
- Can produce 1 out of 4 makes which turn into random dragon items
- 'Sacred water of Mah' beneath furnace, used to cool off items
- Can break Heated metal when smithing
Requirements:
- Completed 'A Dwarf's Secret'
- Minimum of Prestige 3 Smithing (Orikalkum procession)
Known bugs:
- No texture on 'Sacred water'
- 'Look' option instead of 'Use'
- Map opening
- Facing objects (always faces east, overall face direction problem)
- When cooling items down, does not cool first item slot first
If you have any feedback or constructive criticism, please feel free to post it below.
Regards,
-Jeeku
