I decided to try to write a gambling system which ended up being a lot simpler than I thought. Here is the end result.Credits:
Any criticism is welcome.
Interface: Zion
Backend: _Lev518
What happens if you logout?
Should change the header from current game mode to something like dice game, just an example and this is just my opinion, everyone differs. Everything else looks good imo, but should change the "I have rolled a [x/100] (x-x)" to "I have rolled x. [x-x]". Again this is just my opinion. Goodjob.
Edit: Should also check out for bugs like logging out in the middle of the game, teleporting, etc.
gambling will never be scam proof
eh, the duel arena is an example of gambling and can be designed to be scam proof. It's not something that is out of reach.
OT: If I was losing 2-1 I would log out. I would suggest either ending the session in favour of the player that hasn't logged out or prevent the account from disconnecting until the gambling process is finished.
Nice!
No dupe. If a player x logs it will simply prevent the player from being logged out until the gambling session is done. Once it's done the game will automatically remove the player. Kind of like x logging in combat.
Thank you for the interface comment; credit to Zion for it.
Thanks for the comment! I handled it like the second method you listed. If a player x logs or dc's the character will stay in game until after the gambling session, then dc the character after a victor is decided.
Not bad nice work
Most interaction packets have been disabled along with clicking buttons and movement. Players can't do anything except for talk with each other while in the gamble and if they do x log or dc they will stay logged in until the gamble is done like when you x log in combat,
