Server + Client base w/ MySQL

Hi fellow RSPS enthusiasts,

For my next project I wanna focus on combining my server with a web-application.
I'm looking for a 317 server base (with client & cache) with MySQL connection. Most important is that the server uses a database to save player statistics, but I also wanna be able to create a web-based item exchange system e.g.

It's mainly for educational and recreational purposes, and will most likely be released open-source.

Yoooyoo mate,

i dont really think that there are a lot of servers released that use MYSQL for that. But you could rewrite the player loading and player saving part of the source to use a MYSQL Database instead, wich shouldnt be that hard, but maybe time consuming.

Hey, thanks for your reply. Thats too bad... I wasn't aware of that :/
Any suggestions on which base would be best to use? I come from the PI era and haven't been around for awhile. As long as it's stable and de code-base isn't all junked up :D

For 317 loading OSRS i would suggest the Elvarg 3.1 release. Its a very basic and clean base to start a project from.

Have been checking out the suggested Elvargh 3.1 and I don't think this is the right source for me. I'm currently looking into Ruse, which seems to be quite popular nowadays. Not sure if this is the right choice though... I'm still looking for a better base which has a database connection by default. Any help would be appreciated, and once again: If anybody is interested in collaborating, send me a PM.

Would not advice to use Ruse, it has a lot of flaws, only servers that are longer in developement use ruse because Elvarg for example was not out at that time. The go to standard these days is Elvarg or a real OSRS. Also all features on ruse servers are totaly ununique because every ruse server has them. To the MYSQL thing, as said above there is no current release with full mysql integration. Either code that yourself or pay someone to do it.
