Intro
Hi, I'm Sam! I started playing private servers in around 2010, and got heavily into the community in late 2014. I've done everything there is to do in the community, and I feel that it's time to start a new project as I am about to have a ton of free time this summer, before I start my first semester of college. I've owned four servers, advertised hundreds, taken AP level computer science courses, and can hold up my end of a team, so now I'm looking for people to help.
What I'm Looking For
- Possibly a Co-Owner, if you're experienced enough and well known in the community
- An investor who can cover up front costs such as VPS, website, etc, and can expect a % of the server's profits in return.
- A web developer who can put together a smooth, safe site with forums, an automatic store, automatic voting, etc
- A server and client developer, or two, who are proficient in Java and can not only code content, but also create auto-voting and donation systems, auto updating client and cache, and make the server dupe and bug free
- A super solid OSRS source
What I Can Provide
My youtube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/c/rspssam ) will be the initial source of players as it has over 2,000 subscribers and over 450,000 video views. I've owned four servers in the past, and I've learned a lot from each, I'll outline what I learned from each one below.
- My first server, 'Naive' hit over 70 players with only my videos as advertising. From this server I learned not to put too much trust into the people I work with, and always make sure I have safety nets. I also learned a lot about creating a fun economy.
- My second server 'Keen' peaked at 140 players with only my youtube channel as advertising, this server had a sad end as our website got hacked and a rat was added to the client. From this I learned to be way more cognisent when it comes to security, and not to take any shortcuts.
- My third server 'Deadman PS' hit over 250 players with only my channel as advertising. This server could have been extremely successful, but I used a horribly glitch and unstable base and refused to change bases. This server taught me not to rush an RSPS, and that the stability of the server comes priority #1, as it's way easier to add content than it is to fix stability.
- My fourth server 'Guthix' hit 100+ players 24/7, from this server I learned that a lot about money management and working with others.
Intersted?
If you're interested in talking to me, or having me join your team, add my skype RSPSSam

"from this server I learned that a lot about money management and working with others."
Laughed a lot at this. So when you say money management, do you mean taking the money and not paying your partners the split or what? Help me out here, I'm a bit confused.
