Thread: Looking for a Developer to Assist in Resurecting a Once Decently Popular Server.

Hey,

I'm the owner of Socioscape (as you mite have guessed)

and lately i haven't had a huge amount of time to spend programming (college work load basically)

And as a result of this, i've lost a lot of players. i went from an average of 50-60 to an average of.. maybe 5-7.

So what i really need is someone who is passionate about developing a fun server, and can be an asset to my server.


So, basically give me your best application. And i'm not going to discriminate, just because you don't have a lot of posts, doesn't mean i wont be considering you!

Socioscape is a hybrid of skilling and pking. (or at least it trys to be)

We've never really had active PVP, but we have a decently active Funpk area at the 'home' location. in which the players compete for points and redeem them for items at the PVP shop.

The same would go for regular PVP except the person would receive more points and the added bonus of getting your opponents gear.

We have a lot of things that are half finished.. Some minigames, Stores, Skills, etc. Also, Hunter and agility are still Stock from the original source. I've been putting off re-doing them for ages, but it's high time to do it. (especially since Hunter is causing bad glitches)

Most of our skills work, with exception to Summoning and Construction. (hunter works when it's not glitched)

Our exp rate is a bit lower than most servers, but the players don't seem to mind.

Our home location is entirely unique, No other server has it, Donator zone is partially unique, which is to say, the location has been used before, but it was designed by our staff.

Our Voting system has some sort of bug.

We have a lot of little things, like caskets, a squeel of fortune system, a completely leeched reaction time system that i thought was cool ( i changed the rewards a bit though.. if i remember correctly), Etc.

.. Lets see.. uhm Oh, the staff we do have right now, are great. Mod Rune is our only Administrator, and he is just epic. Prime Bait is our only moderator, and he's really good too, and Our support members change a lot so i won't mention them, but the guy we have now is good. he'll probably get mod eventually

Anyways, thanks for reading all of this, I have no particular format for applications, so, just post what you think is relevant. I don't expect a lot of replies, so i'll be considering every one very carefully.
