Worldmaps in Binary

Title says it all, I need really bad....I'm not asking to be spoonfed, I simply want to know how to make the files be .dat and make them readable by the WorldMap.Java file.I know like a shitload of coders on here know how to do this so please help.I need really bad...

binary files are always saved in .bin lol
also ill give you mine but theres a bit more to it than you might think you can pm me for a link

Do you know how the system works? I can't seem to get anything reliable out of it lol

ah grahams astar it looked quite good but there was mroe to it that what he did alot more lol
