We are closing in on being able to host our private beta! Although the game is practically host-ready as it is, we want to make sure that there's plenty of content to keep players happy.
Here's the progress made during the last 7 days:
- Finished and tested our 'hp event' system. This is a hide and seek style event, where an administrator hides in the wilderness with a large amount of hitpoints.
Players will then attempt to find / deal as much damage as they can without getting killed themselves by other players. Here's a gif demonstrating what an admin would do to prepare for it.
- Overhauled the existing wilderness slayer system, with the ability to block up to 5 tasks. Cancelling tasks is also handed via the new interface.
- Started working on partnered wilderness slayer. The concept is similar to OSRS' for regular slayer, however with our version, players will receive boosted rewards as a perk.
- Added re-texturing support for item models.
- Added a profanity filter toggle for players that don't wish to see extreme flaming.
- Added more content previously only accessible via commands to the panels tab for easier access.
- Corrected more incorrect NPC ids due to the previous ID switches that jagex did.
- Updated to the latest OSRS models / items / NPCs (gotta have those cat ears)...
- Added support for giving the zuriel's staff it's 2008 era special attack to make it more useful, it was previously inferior to a toxic staff.
The effect for the special attack is still to be decided.
- Various misc bug fixes.
