    Illerai is a unique 317 server loading OSRS data that strives to build a new world with new lore to uncover and tasteful custom content to engage in.
    With entirely new quests to set out on, never-before-seen bosses to battle, new rewards to reap from them, and new maps to explore, we seek to double down on the vision of Old School RuneScape; to expand upon the game that we came to love back in the day without squandering everything that makes it what it is.






    Illerai's standards are upheld in no small part by the awesome work of modelers such as Ziva, lumplum, Draxaca and Maximax.


    What we want to achieve with Illerai is to create a gameplay experience of its own right. We want you to marvel at the game you have known for so long in a way you probably haven't for a long time. To this end, our signature addition to the combat system was born, a new skilling-focused game mode was implemented, and a few new bosses came to be.

    Since the original release of the server, the aforementioned combat mechanic has been entirely revamped, Skiller Mode was rebalanced, more boss additions have been made, more skilling additions have been planned, the lore has been rethought and quests have been written.

    Spoiler for What's missing?:
    As far as skilling goes, we intend on having all skills function properly just as much as the next server, and it's coming along quite nicely. We've come a long way since the development of the initial version of the server back in early 2017, and all that's left is some minor content, some newer content, and a few bouts of testing and polishing.

    • Crafting: Silver jewellery to be added.
    • Farming: Currently in development.
    • Hunter: Puro Puro, bird houses and tracking to be added. Further testing and polishing necessary; everything works as intended so far, albeit visuals are off in some areas.
    • Construction: Currently in development.
    • Archaeology: Recently released, in need of testing and undergoing further development.

    We intend on keeping up with OSRS on the PvM front as well, and it's only a matter of time. We've got most bosses down, and recently we took care to review some of the less stellarly coded ones and have fixed them up to be less shoddy and more bug-free.

    • Abyssal Sire: To be completely redone.
    • Skotizo, Vorkath: Recently implemented! Need to be tested.
    • Grotesque Guardians, Alchemical Hydra: Currently in development.
    • Hespori: Intended to be added along with the Farming Guild in the future.

    The gameplay experience of our server is earnestly intended to be a lasting one, so we've made sure to not get lost in neither the baseline nor our original content. Flavour, variety and QoL are just as integral to the game as anything else, which is why among what we consider some of the more important miscellaneous features we're as of currently only missing two iconic minigames in Illerai.

    • Castle Wars: Plans to make it more desirable to play and its development as a whole are due for an undefined time in the future.
    • Inferno: Currently undergoing development.








    Here at Illerai, our utmost pride is the original content that gives the server its personality. New additions have been made to various aspects to the game, and each of them has been carefully thought out from the drawing board stages to ensure that they fit within our vision, that they're fun, and that they organically assimilate into the game we all know and love.

    Combat enhanced

    The Divine Keystones

    Illerai's signature addition to the combat system allows you enhance your combat performance in various ways by receiving a god's blessings and investing points into the individual attributes offered by your received blessings. These points will become obtainable from many different sources, encouraging a diversified gamestyle that rewards engagement with the many different aspects of the game in order to unlock our new system's full potential.

    Enragement is a simple combat mechanic that allows you build up energy by dealing or taking damage. This energy is displayed in the form of a bar above your character's head and below the HP bar that fills red as you fight on.



    When you attack or are attacked, your enragement bar will fill by 5%. When you attack and deal 15 or more damage, your enragement bar fills by 40% of that amount.
    When your enragement bar reaches 100%, you will rage and the bar will drain over the course of 12 seconds.

    The effect enragement has over you depends on your keystones, another new mechanic.

    You will first be prompted to choose a god at the end of the tutorial. Right afterwards, once you're sent to the home area, you will become able to change gods at will by right-clicking the Oneiromancer at the chapel.



    You can check your current god and keystones by clicking the tab in the bottom left corner.



    As you can see, the tab displays your god at the top and its keystones below. You can hover over them to bring up tooltips describing their functions.



    To get your keystones' abilities off the ground, you will need to assign Mastery Points to them. These are exactly what they say in the tin, points that denote your mastery over each of your keystones. You will begin with 5 of these to assign to your keystones, which you can do by pressing the respective + buttons, and conversely remove by pressing the respective - buttons.

    Your first two keystones can hold up to 5 points. However, the last one, your Master Keystone, can only hold up to 3 points; this is because it requires your other keystones to have a certain amount of points before you can assign a point to it.
    • You can assign 1 point to your Master Keystone after you've assigned at least 2 points to each of your other keystones.
    • You can assign 2 points to your Master Keystone after you've assigned at least 4 points to each of your other keystones.
    • You can assign 3 points to your Master Keystone after you've assigned at least 6 points to each of your other keystones.

    New bosses

    Our server counts with a few new bosses that test the waters of what RSPS can achieve in that front. This gives players new major goals to work towards with the new tools they can acquire and provide fresh, tough, and satisfying challenges.

    Spoiler for Learn more about King Chimera:
    King Chimera is a dragon-lion hybrid beast that lies at the bottom of The Crater, a dungeon accessed at the west portion of the home area, after unlocking access to the dungeon via Vannaka.

    As part-dragon, King Chimera can breathe very strong dragonfire, requiring adequate protection to increase the chances of defeating the boss. It also packs a strong bite at melee range and a dangerous tile-targeted attack (mechanically similar to the Crazy archaeologist's) that causes heavy poison-like damage if not avoided.


    Spoiler for Learn more about Filitiarn:
    Filitiarn is a cursed wolf that is trapped at the lake atop the Mountain Camp upon completion of the quest Beyond the Blizzard.

    A two-phase boss, Filitiarn will initially attack with strong magic attacks, including the ability to cast Ice Barrage and summon a concentrated snowstorm that chases after players and damages them the closer it gets to them. In the second phase, he himself gains the same damage-by-proximity effect as the snowstorms, and will cast an enhanced Ice Barrage in the form of a tile-targeted area-of-effect attack.

    Spoiler for Learn more about Baron Maple:
    ]Baron Maple is an ent-like giant that resides in an unknown secluded forest that can only be reached after unlocking a teleport by reaching prestige level 3 in Slayer.

    Baron Maple boasts a large pool of HP and strong magic and melee attacks, along with the mechanic of his arena where it's surrounded by 6 patches of dirt. The boss can ocassionally shoot seeds at these patches, which will cause vines to grow out of them.

    These vines attack with considerably accurate and tough ranged attacks, making them deadly if not taken care of quickly enough. They can be burnt down with a tinderbox, with the chances increasing after achieving prestige levels in Firemaking.


    Custom items

    New additions have been made to the game, but not left and right. Contrary to what certain other servers would have you believe, there is such a thing as adding new items within reason, and our reasons typically involve the original content you're reading about. After all, you can't have new PvM challenges or custom quests without offering new rewards to go with them, and lucky for us we count with just that.


    Recoloring items doesn't have to make them look completely awful, the old can be built upon if done with care and the new can blend in as well.

    Skilling expanded

    Shrine of Skilling

    The exclusive mechanic of the new Skiller Mode slowly generates certain kinds of resources over the course of your skilling activity. These resources can then be claimed through points that are generated by each action that earns non-combat experience.

    In Skiller Mode, whenever you perform an action that generates experience in a non-combat skill, you are granted one skilling point. Skilling points can be spent in the Shrine of Skilling's features:
    • Material generation: Performing skilling actions randomly makes the shrine start generating a material. It also builds up material potential percentage, which is a measure of the extent to which the shrine will generate materials, increasing the amount of materials every 10%. You can collect your materials at the cost of skilling points equal to the last percentage your amount of materials increased.
    • Experience purchase: You can turn in skilling points for extra experience in some skills, at a rate of 10% of your skill level per point.
    • Supply investments: You can also turn in skilling points for random loot, the quality of which depends on how much you invest before claiming the spoils. Don't let temptation make you splurge too hard!

    A new skill

    Our new gathering skill will see you travel to recently constructed digsites where you may find treasure from times of old and ancient knowledge.

    Archaeology will prove a versatile tool for the development of the server, as a fresh new means of attaching requirements to items, as an organic in-game source of lore, and as a new grind for players to engage with to provide some fresh air to the skilling side of their journeys.

    Custom quests

    Lost Treasure

    The general populace of Illerai is well aware of how they live in a new world, however familiar it may look. Some individuals have taken it upon themselves to travel around, investigate the mysteries of the world, and push forward their understanding of the situation.

    Archaeologist take their job seriously, and as such you will need to complete a few basic exams before you can get started with the new skill, Archaeology.



    Beyond the Blizzard

    The mountain tribe east of Relleka has had their world shaken up by the rapidly increasing disappearance of their tribesmen. It doesn't look like something that's happening by chance, but their chieftain acts oddly unwilling to let you in on the situation.

    Find out why the tribe has met this terrible fate and save them from eradication. By completing this quest, you'll get access to Ice and Permafrost wolves, new high-level slayer creatures, along with the new wolf boss, Filitiarn.



    Wilderness rejuvenation

    Despite the economy-heavy nature of Illerai, we care about PvP, and we care about the Wilderness. As such, we've developed multiple new pieces of content that take place in the Wilderness. Our Wilderness rejuvination features new incentives to venture into everyone's favorite wasteland; a new boss, a new quest and a new dungeon all brimming with rewards for the brave to get their hands on.

    • Exoden: A new boss periodically spawns in a select few spots deep in the Wilderness. This powerful unknown horror and its trio of protective aides will not go down without putting up any less than a grueling four-phase fight, throughout which players will have to deal with various mechanics such as tile-targeted attacks, multi-target bouncing projectiles and area-of-effect magic. Cooperation is key, and even PKers will need to stay sharp so that stray AoE's don't get the best of them!
    • Bloodshot hotspots: Certain areas throughout the Wilderness now provide access to a variety of perks just by standing within them, among which are generation of blood money via skilling and the chance of obtain mysterious emblems when killing other players. Rake in the benefits, elude the PKers, and venture to the hotspots deeper into the Wilderness if you're feeling adventurous.
    • The Enchanted Furnace: The ruins in the very middle of the Wilderness house a magical furnace that can refine ores without coal. However, its creators weren't too keen on letting their death mean anyone and everyone would get to use the fruit of their talents to their benefit. The furnace's enchantments lash out at anyone who tries to smelt their ores, but there has to be a way...
    • The Sequin Beacon: Deep down in a new dungeon will sit an ancient artifact that increases the potency of alchemy spells. In addition to the risk of the Wilderness, there's another catch: Efficient use of the Sequin Beacon requires a significant amount of magical power from the bearer, demanding they be well equipped for the job.


    You might slightly regret it if you don't pay attention in the Wilderness and end up running into it.

    The base is Vencillio, but it has had very heavy modifications from a lot of developers, not just the ones on the team. We launched back in 2017 when Vencillio was popular, and decided to stay with it since we had already added a lot of content. It has been in development for rougly three years, with the initial server development of Illerai 1.0 starting in 2016. So we are proud to say that you'll never find a server on the market that is exactly like us.
