Pretty neat, if you want to pursue it for fun then try make them do tasks that are selected randomly, (even from what you've already completed) would be cool to see if you could randomise names and see how real you can try make them seem.
GL with your project, keep us posted.
that's cool, would be great if these bots actually worked for their items doing pvm, skilling and lvl up at same exp rate as a normal player.
This is dope af, i love it.
Other than all the other comments, I think this is actually pretty neat. one of the first things people do when they get into RSPS is just launch your own little project locally and play around, this would be a cool starter for people.
For your project,
staking bots would be cool.
Giving bots actual names instead of numbers, possibly using name generator or something
Add bots to important areas, just doing weird stuff, like flax picking possibly, alching if possible. Give life to the world.
Ho lee that's really cool
Nice. Have you considered using ML(e.g. https://deeplearning4j.org)/ ANN's as a way of training your bots? Would be quite a challenge but also a lot of fun. I had the idea of building personalized butlers that can learn from events in the game whilst you progress in it; as a sort of advanced summoning for Empyrean. However, in a single player game, the idea of having a companion at your side that progresses with you throughout the game sounds even cooler.
edit:
Another cool idea would be to make a dark souls-ish invasion system. So each player has it's own world instance but can invade other players' instances by using an item/spell (if they play online.) The invader would then temporarily be moved to the host's world and stay their till either is killed. Could also be a nice way of monetizing the game.
