Server has turned into a side solo project of mine while I run my server. Updates will be shown throughout a later time
What is 'Deadman'?
Deadman mode is an idea of a mode by JaGeX that will soon be implemented on a few OS worlds. The idea of Deadman mode was introduced a few weeks ago and seems to have a bunch of hype on OSRS, so why not start a project out of the idea of the RSPS community? The idea of Deadman mode by Jagex can be found on either of these links: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. You can see their full idea and how they will be implementing it upon the release of this mode by checking out those developer logs. How far this project's idea will stray from the one on OSRS will be determined in the near future, when developers are hired and the server starts to form.
The Deadman PK Idea
Obviously this idea is majorly based off of the one Jagex has released, but just like all other private servers, it will not be 100% mimicked. The idea goes a little like this: You play the server like any other; training trying to get your stats and bank wealth up, yet there is a huge twist. You will find you can attack a player anywhere, anytime; no matter your opponent's combat level. In each major city there will be gaurds that serve to protect you by attacking anyone with a skull above their head. Here is an outline of the safe zones in green:
If you are in these green areas and get attacked by someone, multiple gaurds matching their stats will attack them, making them have to kill the gaurds and you in order to get your things. Upon killing someone on this server will drop every item they have on and a key to their bank. This key is used on a bank booth in order to access the player's bank of which you just killed. You will then be allowed to withdraw a full inventory of items out of their bank, other than 3 items that are protected by that player. Upon death in this server you will also lose 50% of all your EXP in all your stats, and the EXP will be transferred to the player in which you killed; you will get to protect 5 stats so you will not be completely wiped once being killed.
Will this project actually come to life?
Possibly. This project will take many hours by many developers to perfect. The quality and ETA release will all determine on the developers that apply for the project and how many determined developers we can get to work on it. Funding on the server necessities will be covered by me through beta, I do not however have the money to pay multiple developers. Payment methods will be determined -- most likely each developer getting a nice % of income after the server's release. This project will take time and will be a really fun one to do. I'm really excited to come out with this idea for the project and hope you all feel the same and that a few developers would love to spend time making such a unique server, that can only lead to success.
How to work on this project
Over the next few days I will spend my time getting the skeleton of this project worked out, finding developers willing to put forth work into the project, and getting everything sorted so that we can make this happen. To become a developer you will need to send me a request on Skype w/ your R-S name, and we will discuss matters from there on. This is a project that is here fully for a learning experience, in which will return us a very fun environment and place for people to play a game. Whether or not your skills compare up to those of a guru, still get into the project, for we all need to start somewhere, and what would be better to start on than this project?

Just gonna be honest and say there is no point in creating this type of server when OSRS is bringing the exact same thing out
Hope everything goes well. Will be following updates.
