I've been into making RSPS' now for about two years, but I was a shitty leecher who did 0 tutorials, snippets, or personal coding up until this summer when I really tried to teach myself. So, I started my current project, RuneSide. It's a PI loading 667 + based on Sinatra 3.0. (Insert my lack of caring for your PI hatred here.) My goal is to fix as many bugs as possible and clean it out to basically items, skills, and minigames. So, I'll be posting my change logs here to keep you all updated, not that anybody cares. I'm taking all suggestions for content that you guys post, so leave a comment here. This is a fun little project of mine that I intend to host one day, but I have no intentions of being some big well known server with it.
As of 8/12/2014
- Fixed "unclosed 's' warning"
- Fixed idle logout glitch
- Fixed cannot see player text
- Added proper total level (including dungeoneering)
- Added 100% 602 skill tab
- Removed trivia bot
- Removed highscores/hiscores
- Moved prayer orb over 3 spaces so it fits in the gameframe
- Removed ~15 MB of unused/not-needed sprites and data from the cache
- Added new loading bar that's not glitched
- Added now login screen that's not glitched
- Packed 474 maps over the 508/525 ones, fixing 99% of map glitches
- Ripped the model header from the released Arrav/Zarketh client, fixing all item bugs and object bugs
- Fixed small roof pieces
- Fixed black tiles in edgeville and other map locations
- Fixed seven resource leaks according to this thread: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
- Added proper capitalization for player names
- Fixed drop dupe
- Fixed a glitch where if you disconnect before clicking "claim", you lose the staked items
- Possibly fixed a small client sided command glitch, couldn't duplicate it so IDK
- Fixed cheat engine trade dupe
- Fixed dupe where cheat engine can change item IDs in shops (not usual one, thanks rspunit)
- Fixed 2147m crash glitch in trade
- Fixed CycleEventHandler bug where events where still being executed after stopping
- Removed all of the un-commented out "synchronized"'s, removed commented out ones (from deadlock fix)
- Players can no longer withdraw items if they're using CheatEngine to bank anywhere
- Corrected prayer drain rates
- Added 602 Item Prices.cfg, so economy won't be ruined with selling to shops (and all items have prices) (it's from a GE dump)
As of 8/12/2014 (day time)
- Removed PublicEvent (IE type skafb to get (item))
- Removed WeaponGame
- Removed dominion tower
- Removed treasure trails
- Removed prestige system
- Removed gnome glider transportation
As of 8/13/2014
- Started work on Achievement tab, I just ripped the interface of the quest tab and changed it a bit
- Perfect cache downloader
- Added item drag tweak to make switching easier
- Changed max skill EXP to 500m (instead of 200m)
- Ripped old equipment interface from Ikov's cache's sprites (swag)
- Added "X"'s instead of "O"'s when you click on map
- Added proper tabs in gameframe, nulled out ones that don't work
- K,M,B now work without bugs (you can withdraw 500k, 500m, etc. from bank or trade)
- Added Quest & Achievement tabs (30%) with an excellent base for adding to them
- Added that tutorial to optimize sendFrame126
- Deleted all of the accounts/clans/etc released with source (EWWWW)
- Adjust sprite for summoning tab
- Made it so summoning tab wouldn't load first when starting client
- Added face north 100% perfect
- Changed logout sprite, will need fixing...
- Re-did some grammar for client side messages
- Face North
- Added proper XP counter with commas and dropping sprite and formatting
- Removed the lame grey dot icon that popped up on settings tab while viewing equipment worn
- Made brightness have a blue dot on the slider when you log in for the first time
- Oh, and made settings tab not invisible like it is when you download the source
