    A bit of history

    Some of you may be familiar with the name of Oblivion-PK. It was a popular server back in 2008-2010 that did well for itself and was owned by Sanity and Mr-Brent. I'll be the first to admit that it was horribly done and that it died where it should have. Sanity quit development on Oblivion-PK some-time in 2009 and left Mr-Brent searching for a developer, this is where I found my magical spot on the development team. During that time we made a transition from the Project Insanity version of the Oblivion-PK server back to the version that was built on of the DeltaScape base. It received a bunch of bug fixes and Combat edits, but it was ultimately non-salvageable. A hacking occurred from a previous staff member that had access to the dedicated host which resulted in Mr-Brent implementing a bound RAT into the client as an update. This is where Oblivion-PK died. Shortly after this i released the server files for both the project-insanity and Deltascape based versions. Neither of which were worth much of anything.

    So what's the plan?

    What I normally end up seeing from modern private servers is that they are developed for the soul purpose to squeeze money out of a player, however that's not what I'm about. My goal is to recreate the fun experience that I had back when playing Oblivion-PK, but combine it with some of my own knowledge of economics to create a server that's challenging, and fun to be a part of. I've been thinking long and hard on how to generate enough revenue for the server to sustain itself without selling items and inflating the economy, and at-las I finally realized I had the answer. I have a YouTube channel that I got partnered that's generating enough to sustain the server, web-host, and a little bit more on-top of that every month. I plan to create something worth playing, where the dedicated thrive, not the rich.

    • Player Gambling Systems: This system uses a custom interface similar to the trading system to verify that
      any player gambling will not be subject to a scam. This system verifies that the host has the proper amount
      of coins and/or items to pay out the gambler. The items the host/gambler will receive will be present in the interface.

    • Player Stores(AFK): This system is one that I have found on more popular korean games that allows players
      to sell items while they're not playing the game through an in-game interface. The player determines the price and
      people will trade him to open the store. This will perform like any normal game store.
