I am looking for highly experienced programmers which are fluent in Java, you must know what you are doing.
What is Sythril you might ask
Sythril was founded in Feburary of 2010, our goal was to create a server which focused on the desires of the community while creating a fun and child friendly environment. Previously Sythril has worked on releasing a server to the community but unfortunately I along with our other developers had multiple things come up in our everyday lives that prevented us from ever finishing the project. Sythril currently has over 4,000 registered members and has around 500 guests visiting daily.
What we're looking for
We are seeking a balance between an economy and skilling server, our primary goal would be to provide a great economy based server, ultilizing skills, minigames and boss hunting, but still including things such as pking and dueling however the economy aspect would be the primary focus unlike most servers. We are seeking up to a 474 revision, perhaps loading higher items and npcs.
What we have to offer
Sythril has a valid vBulletin license and we're currently running 3.8.7
We offer an established community which is often most of the work
Sythril has custom designed hiscores, and a custom designed Moderator Control Panel for the server.
We take care of all the costs of the hosting
You become an owner working along side me, we will both be equals.
We already have multiple ideas for content, what we need is a server and client.
Our Current Team
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] - Luke is our primary owner, he is also our web developer and works on things such as the server moderator control panel and hiscores, Luke also currently handles most of the community administration.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] - Zman is primarily a content developer and focuses on new updates such as NPC placement, skill placement, and NPC drops. Basically anything content related Zman is our go-to guy.
Requirements
You must be fluent in Java
Must be trustworthy and have a good reputation with the community
Work must be done in a timely manner
Team work, while you will be the programmer for the server we do have content developers which you would work long side with to implement new updates.
You must remain active
A general understand on SQL, as the forums and server will be integrated.
How do you join?
You will first need to contact me and provide some background on yourself and why you want to join the project, we'll have an interview and then myself and Zman will discuss each of the applicants and give each of you a response of if you've been accepted or denied.
Contact Us
The best way to contact us about any interests would be to register on our website [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and send me [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] a private message.
You can also contact me by email at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
You may also leave a reply on this thread but the above options would be the easiest way to get in contact with me
On a final note, if you have not caught on already I expect you to bring a source and client that you wish to work with. I do not want a sloppy PI source though I expect you to work with something decent along the lines of Shards, Hyperion or maybe Azure. Payment and such would be dicussed later on if we decide if you're acceptable.

Good luck finding a partner, these days that you can trust for free.

Lold 500 guests? You mean bots buddy
Considering I never even heard of "sythril", I doubt your statistics are even close to accurate. Anyway, goodluck on this.
sers active in the past 24 hours: 505 (65 members and 440 guests) not even close...

Maybe he meant 500 people instead of guests, or if he did mean guests maybe theirs just 440 at the moment you got to remember world wide, different time zones.
Quit hating on him.

- Zman is primarily a content developer and focuses on new updates such as NPC placement, skill placement, and NPC drops.
errrm?
"You must be fluent in Java"
A requirement to be "fluent" in Java to code a Runescape Private Server is slightly pushing it. I'm not even convinced most professional game developers are "fluent" in Java.
Also, personally, you should really be looking for a web developer with an understanding in SQL, it isn't really up to the Java developers to do that.
Anyways, good luck with finding a partner.
