Here I will be documenting my first combat system ever.
This is a side-project to Remedy.
The base is RuneSource.
This will be released open-source after a beta testing period, to test for bugs. So everyone, help me, suggest to me, give me support.
- Combat Features
- Entity Based
- Attacking Entity
- Entity attacking back
- Distances, stops when in-distance
- Timers
- NPC vs. NPC, since it's Entity based
- When you walk away, the timer ticks down before shutting off
- You can't run more than one timer at a time (Graham's task system)
- Stop movement (for Ranged and Magic)
- Idle check, if timer is at zero 40 times in a row, it ends the task (incase of bugs where it idles)

Very, very basic.
Please, give me suggestions/feedback/critcism.

Use BattleScape 317 as a reference, it's great for ideas and to use for/as a structure to build on.
