Someone is simple-minded because they have a view that is different than yours? The RS2006 community are clueless when it comes to RSPS (most). Whether you like it or not, RS2006 is a RSPS and many factors can cause it to close down.

The hours, days, and even weeks you spent training those skills because "it doesn't kill the game", could easily be gone without notice and a closed message on the RS2006 website.

Also: I'm not fucking wasting time to get a 99 on RS2006 when I could have spent the same damn time in RS getting a 99.

I played runescape since classic.
It was possible back then, but people didn't have the methods figured out.

Monkey guards alone would be enough for combat.

I doubt it was possible, in an interview Andrew Gower admitted when he made RSC he never expected anybody to reach level 99... ever. He even challenged people to get a 99 on there if they still had access, because it takes a very long time. To do it in month would require a lot of "pre-loading" work (saving up a lot of money for materials) and you would pretty much have to no-life for the whole month.

People did have the methods figured out, most skills don't really require much thought. It's just that as RS goes on, there are newer and better methods available - eg prayer training was increased by zillion times using ecto-shit or gilded altar.

So yeah, it's REALLY rare for JaGeX to take legal action against a server.
