F0rums server development
This is the official server development thread of F0rums, a brand new server. The name f0rums came from a forum where our project is located. Our forum, which is named f0rums, didn't have enough members, and we thought we should make a RuneScape private server to get more members onto the forums.
My server is based onto the source Shard Revolutions, it's one of the stablest sources out of here. I have some experience with RSPS and java, so it shouldn't really be hard. The server is still in the early stages of development and so there isn't much done yet.
Gameplay information
Our whole server is gonna be based around a story. If you're playing it, you won't do any things which you won't do on any other servers, it's just a normal server. However if you look deeper into the server, such as quests, you see there is a specific story in our server. We're planning to start with about 5 quests on the opening and we still wanna improve our server with more quests, minigames and options to have fun. The biggest part of the server is playing into the levels of the players. You will need MANY requirments to start quests, finish quests or do similar tasks. Our server is not based around combat, however it still has an important role.

- Started on quest framework/interface done, except saving/loading

- Added wilderness levels the proper way which includes multi & single zone
- Started on player versus NPC combat. Player part is finished for about 40%
- Completed specials, just need right GFX methods
12th April
- Started on framework for specials, which should be done soon
- Perfected melee combat in player versus player, it's done for about 75% now
