From what he said, its still like this atm on osrs and even till pre-eoc because ranged damage has always been the same lol

Please move this if it's in the wrong section.
I was watching the OSRS Q&A and I thought this was fairly interesting. I'm not sure if this is common knowledge.

Or for those who don't want to watch:
For void melee:
"It takes your attack stat and then multiplies up for the void boost and calculates your accuracy from it. Then it takes your strength, multiplies that up for the void boost and calculates your damage from it."
For void ranged (assumed mistake by the developer):
"It takes your ranged stat, multiplies up by the void boost, calculates your accuracy from it, multiplies it up by the void boost again, then calculates your damage from it. So your ranged damage is actually being boosted twice by the void boost rather than once."
Just noting that the last OSRS update nerfed void range, so now it is only 10% effective (the double calculation was removed), and elite void was modified to be 12.5% effective
