Letting people connect to server

Hello!

I have a question; I have the Kronos source up and running locally and made some edits to it. I want my friends to connect so we can mess around, practice some inferno and do some PKing. The server is currently running DEV mode and I have followed the tutorials made by Armo for the no forum login. I changed the IP's in the server.properties and forwarded the ports to my local PC. However I am unable to connect to the server from another computer (I tried my laptop). Is anyone able to help? It does not matter if the server will be running DEV mode, its just to mess around.

i assume you have setup the jav_config?

Yeah, I redirected it to the one hosted by RS. I'm not sure if it is not working because I am running the Client from Intelliji, I usually use Eclipse and im not sure how to JAR the Runelite client in Intelliji.
